Nestled under a gorgeous grove of Live Oak Trees just west of Austin, Julie’s Cabins is a luxurious retreat for those desiring an “out in the country” setting while still being close to the amazing Austin night life. The retreat is centrally located in the amazing Texas Hill Country close to many rivers and lakes and only 45 minutes from the Fredericksburg Wine Trail. We’ve worked hard to ensure a world class stay for all. A beautifully manicured landscape with an abundance of wildlife provides a tranquil setting for those looking to unwind with a nice cocktail in the evening or wake up to the birds and deer in the morning while enjoying a fresh cup of coffee. For those wanting to get a little work out, there’s a state of the art Jacuzzi swim spa to swim laps in, or if desired, heat it up in the evening and relax and let the world go by. For those “glampers”, we provide a full outdoor kitchen to cook that perfect steak. And for those who love old school grilling, we have a fire pit that after you enjoy your campfire you simply swing the grate around and cook old world style. If desired, there are several local breweries and restaurants within a ten minute Uber drive that are really lively. Once you’ve visited all the area sights, and there’s plenty, you’ll really enjoy the country charm of the cabins themselves. Julie’s Cabins are fully functional tiny homes with all the amenities for your stay, including a strong WIFI signal. Perfect for sleeping in late or just unwinding from a busy life. We’ve double insulated them so you can really unplug and bask in pure quietness. All cabins come with everything you need for your stay which takes all the stress away of planning for your trip. Our goal is very simple. When you stay at Julie’s Cabins, you’ll have a very relaxing and stress-free vacation that will leave you energized and ready to take on the world again.

We loved this place! Such a cute and quaint getaway from the city! Centrally located to drive in. Clean property and the amenities were wonderful - we loved the pool and hot tub!

Sweet and cozy!

In town for a wedding. The cabin was super close to the venue, very convenient. It was really cozy, perfect for 2 people. Sadly there were storms all weekend, so we couldn’t enjoy the fire pit/pool/etc, but they looked really nice. The bed was comfy and the AC was great. Check in/check out process very easy and communicated ahead of time. Overall really nice clean cozy cabin, would definitely go back :)

Cozy Cabin Country near the City

Accomodating responsive owners. Lots of nice visitors made for fun connections surrounded by star filled nights around a roaring campfire. Relaxed by pool with awesome lounge chair swing. Huge hot tub with supplied floating noodles. Ahhhh-some! Cabins made for good balance of city nights with country quiet. Check out very nearby Jester Kings for daily music and food too. HIGHLY recommended getaway!

GREAT place to stay!

Everything imaginable is provided for the guests: shampoo, spices, ingredients to make S'mores, laundry room, board games, ping pong, pool, hot tub, etc. Cabin was spotless. AC was effective but quiet. Do note it has only queen size bed, but the comfie sofa is a hideaway if you feel crowded in something other than a king. Price was very reasonable relative to other comparable properties. We will make an effort to stay there every time we visit southwest Austin.

Absolutely Terrific Stay

Truly enjoyed ourselves at Julie's Cabins. Our unit was impeccably clean. The bed was super comfy. Wifi was good. Host was super helpful and accommodating, providing numerous recommendations to us during our stay. Sitting out on the little front porch to drink my coffee each morning was amazing! The little courtyard between cabins is beautiful and with dozens of various type birds flitting around it was really quite relaxing. Would certainly stay again without hesitation.

Serene Cabins

We absolutely loved these cabins! They are nestled under the trees in a secluded, quiet, area where you can see the stars at night and listen to the birds chirping in the morning. The amenities of the property were above and beyond, from a welcoming bottle of wine to a s’mores package to enjoy around the fire pit. There was even bug spray set out even though we didn’t need it. The beds were very comfortable and the living area accommodating. We did not cook meals, but the full size fridge and microwave came in handy for or restaurant leftovers. We were thoroughly impressed and will definitely be back! Thank you Virgil for your amazing accommodations and thoughtfulness that went into these cabins! We can’t wait to visit again.

Amazing Place! We’ll definitely go back!

This property was just what we were looking for! We loved our stay here. It was quiet and secluded yet really close to restaurants, stores, anything you might want or need. The best of both worlds. The owner was great to work with. He was very responsive and helpful. Next time we go to Austin, we will definitely be staying here again!

October Escape

Our visit was excellent. Our son lives 15 minutes away and for us, the location was very convenient. We entertained our son and 5 other folks for a meal using the grounds, the picnic table and the grill and all were very comfortable. The unit is extremely quiet and at night, the sky is unpolluted by light. The cabin is very well furnished and the property includes games, a washer and a dryer. The cabins themselves are in a beautiful setting. We will most certainly stay again when visiting Austin.

Great cabin with all the amenities

We rented out all 4 cabins with a group of friends. Great experience! The cabins had everything we needed, even provided s’mores! Accommodations were comfortable, outdoor kitchen and fire pit were a lot of fun. Would definitely return!

New Parent Weekend Oasis

My husband and I are new parents and were in desperate need of a getaway! However, we wanted something close to home in case we couldn't stand being away from our little bundle. This place was perfect, a true hidden gem. It was so wonderful to be secluded and yet so close to the city. The property itself was beautiful and very well kept, super clean. The check in/out process was a breeze and the owner was so nice and accommodating. I would recommend stocking up on snacks before you head in so you can truly enjoy the time away. The owner was so nice and provided smores to have around the cozy fire pit. The hot tub, I can't say enough about. It was massive! And so relaxing. Honestly, everything about this place was just what we needed and we are already planning a trip back!

Perfect Getaway

Julie’s Cabins was the perfect getaway for New Year’s Eve. The cabins and grounds are beautiful, super clean, and every detail has been thoughtfully executed. The cabins have everything you need, down to all the kitchen essentials for cooking, including spices. The fire pit, outdoor kitchen, and swim spa were wonderful. There were outdoor games and we enjoyed watching the birds. It had rained a lot the first day we were there and the grounds were well drained with no mud in sight. We stayed with friends and the place was perfect for proper social distancing, and we had fun together. This wound be a great stay for a family/friend reunion renting all 4 cabins. We will be back!

Perfect getaway!

The husband and I wanted a quick getaway and Julie's Cabins was perfecct! The pictures do not do just to the beauty and comfort! We stayed 2 nights, enjoyed local wines, food & breweries. The location of the cabins was close to the spots we wanted to visit, but you didn't feel like you were that close. Will definitely be back!

A Breath of Fresh Air Under the Stars

My partner and I and a few of our friends were looking for a COVID friendly getaway and were lucky enough to stumble upon this gem. The cabins were pristine with so many thoughtful touches, from a bottle of Texas wine to extra plush towels, a scented candle and even a candy dish. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could need to cook a delicious meal, and the bed was very comfortable and inviting. This is a dark sky neighborhood and it was gorgeous, even with a half moon there were still so many stars to gaze upon. The property feels secluded but is still an easy drive to a couple great eateries and an awesome brewery. There is an awesome fire pit with plenty of room for everyone, an enormous hot tub, comfortable hammocks, and fun outdoor games to play. Virgil has thought of everything! This is truly a magical place, full of birdsong and wildlife. Staying here has been one of the highlights of this year, and much needed time and space for true relaxation.

Fantastic

I am absolutely grateful that I stumbled upon this cabin, everything was just perfect! The owner kept in contact with us before, during and after the trip and made us feel so comfortable. The quietness of the area is amazing, if you have a group, definitely check this space out, there is a great hot tub, outdoor grilling area and a fire pit, the cabins are not too close together, you definitely have your own privacy and each cabin is so cute! I can not wait to go back!

Great Girls Trip

My two best friends an I had a wonderful stay at Julie's Cabins. Close to Austin and the Hillcountry. Anything you want is a short drive away. We really enjoyed the patio and the hot tub. We are already talking about our next stay. Virgil has thought about everything you might want or need. I highly recommend this rental.
