Rustic cabin, nestled in the trees, less than a mile to Mt. Rainier entrance.

  • Rustic, and unique 1 bedroom 1 bathroom cabin in a tree covered property along the Tenas Creek. Less than a mile to the only entrance that's open year-round of Mt Rainier NP. Park entry lines in the summer can get long, and your location gets you closer to the front. Spend your days exploring all that Rainier has to offer. Evenings can be enjoyed relaxing around the fire pit, or in the gazebo with the grill. A second cabin is located on the property and can be rented, if available, and more space is needed.

    The cabin is less than a mile to the entry gate of Mt Rainier.

    Ashford is a rural and remote community. The power grid and wi-fi can be affected by stormy weather conditions (especially in the winter). If the power and wifi go down, we encourage everyone to enjoy the disconnect time with family and friends and take advantage of the slow down. We have a wood burning fireplace for heat, propane stove to cook on, and candles to play some board games.

    Ashford can be snowy and icy at times and chains are required in your car when driving to paradise in the winter. Check with the National Park for conditions in the winter.

The location, within a mile of the park entrance was ideal. The owner communication was very prompt and thorough. The cabin was very cozy. We would definitely stay there again.

We stayed in many places on our 11 day PNW road trip, and this was our boys’ favorite! It is cozy, cute and has everything you need. The outdoor space is wonderful, and the price can’t be beat. Book it!

What a gem! If you’re looking for the perfect cabin stay close to the park you found it!! My family and I had a wonderful stay and the amenities offered were perfect. The owners are fast to respond and very accommodating.

clean - yes Staff - the cleaner was very flexible as we had a challenge getting out because of a very important phone calll that could not be changed Fireplace - Never used it Kitchen - good Location - is really great relative to the park entrance but the downside of this is the amount of noise from the line up of cars and trucks that are waiting to get into the park. Good about the location is that it is a short walk to Wildberry Cafe which is a great place to go after a hard hike

This was a delightfully cozy experience! The hosts made everything very easy - electronic locks outside, firewood pre-piled by the fireplace, and more available if needed. Ample kitchen space. Perfect for a couple’s getaway!

This was a lovely escape for a long weekend. I wish i could have stayed longer. I adore this cabin. I came to see snow this trip, but I think it would be an equally beautiful stay during any season.

Great location! Perfect for exploring Mt Ranier. Hosts were very responsive and cabin was clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!

We adored this cabin in the woods! The location was PERFECT! About 25-30 mins up to paradise and only a few minutes from the entrance to MRNP. We loved how cozy this cabin was and will absolutely be back in the future! The host was super responsive I never waited more than a few minutes for a response.

Just what we were looking for after a spectacular day hiking in Mount Rainer NP. Nothing uppity about the place. Just a vintage cozy rustic cabin with all the amenities and relaxing ambiance you will need. Really enjoyed the local flavor of the general store down the road. Huge bonus, the place wasnt plastered with, little sticky notes everywhere, telling you all the don'ts to not do. I believe check out instructions were around 5 tasks. Are grandson hand a great time. Perfect getaway for a small family that is looking for an old cabin retreat. Thanks folks.

Cabin was wonderful. our only regret was not having enough time to enjoy the cabin. the only drawback that we could find was that the wood burning fireplace was very smoky, even with the flue wide open. otherwise it was perfect. Close to the entrance to the park.

Great Cabin !

Property is located as close to the Paradise Entrance as possible without staying in the park itself. The house was very clean and tidy with decor reminiscent of a mountain cabin. I have never been at a lodging where drinking water was provided daily for the guests, which was a huge bonus. The property owners were prompt with communication and provided great food recommendations. The Mill Haus Cider co was delicious with a cute atmosphere. We had an amazing time.
