Amazing Log Cabin with Beautiful Views at Apple Canyon Lake

Enjoy our cabin "Fox Ridge Getaway" with your family or friends. Beautiful wood cabin with open loft, immediately feel relaxed in the Amazing Great Room. This cabin really makes you feel miles away with its gorgeous views of the countryside. Lower level has a bar. Nice back deck for grilling and visiting. Sit around the campfire at night, located in the back yard. Trail close to property for walking/hiking. You will have access to lake amenities, pool and beach, with tags provided. Upstairs loft has a shower. Lower bath has a tub.

We try to supply some firewood for our guests as a perk, but it is not guaranteed. T.V. is dish network. Internet is Fiber-link (250 Mbps), usually very good, but in the rolling hills of Apple River Canyon, at times it is not, so make appropriate plans if this is a must.

The charming town of Galena only 15 miles away. Small towns in Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin within a 20 minute drive. Wisconsin is only 10 miles to the north.

Apple Canyon State Park, 10 miles away. Very nice scenic views. Multiple hiking paths. Worth your visit if you like the outdoors.

Don't feel like cooking every meal. One of our favorites, Old School Saloon, Scales Mound IL, 6 miles away. Excellent pizza and sandwiches. They have a 4.8 star rating for a reason. Need delivery, Thriving Thistle Market in Apple River delivers. Their sandwiches are excellent. Pizza is good. You can dine in as well.

Wonderful little town of Shullsburg, Wisconsin. (established in 1827, one of the oldest in Wisconsin) only 13 miles to the north. The restaurants in this small town are second to none. You won't be disappointed. We love visiting this small town.

We have other hidden gems that we recommend and share with our guests upon check in, including "Gravity Hill", 12 miles to the north in Wisconsin, you will be laughing as you roll backwards, uphill???

No Smoking, No parties, no bachelor or bachelorette parties. ONE pet under 10 pounds is allowed. NO puppies or kittens. Maximum guests 8. Minimum age of primary renter is 25.

We can not lock in dates until deposit is received. Same date requests will be given to the first person securing it with a deposit. Three night stays are required during holiday weekends.

Check in is 4:00 p.m.. Check out is 11:00 a.m.

Spring Getaway

Cute cabin on the lake

We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. Cute decor and most amenities we would need. Just a few things need cleaned and fixed to make it even more enjoyable. Ice maker in the freezer is not in working order, owner said he would get it fixed so hopefully he does. Lots of live and dead ladybugs in the house so I'm not sure how long ago the cabin was cleaned prior to our arrival. It being the off season, maybe the cleaners were there a while ago. Adding another shower would be a huge improvement in a house this size. But overall, the owners were responsive and the house was cozy and cute.

Girls weekend

Myself and 4 friends were looking for a place for a quiet weekend away and found your property. It was perfect for our plans as it gave us a quiet location, yet it was close to activities if we wanted them. The property itself was clean and in good condition. We did have quite a few of the small ladybugs to contend with but that was not a huge deal to us. The beds were comfortable as were the couches. Having 5 beds worked great for us. Our only real criticism is that the lighting in the kitchen is lacking a bit (microwave light not working) and we could have used a larger bowl and a cutting board, (unless we missed them), as we did some cooking. We had plenty of everything else and we enjoyed our stay. Thank you for a nice weekend!

Stayed here multiply times and every time has been a very good experience. Value for price paid is great. When so many places are overpriced and outrageous, this is priced right and well maintained.

Great Cabin!

Perfect for our needs

Pros-Reasonable price, beautiful home, great location. We would absolutely come back. There were a few minor dissatisfactions such as no outlet covers a broken door in the basement and a few minor things were not cleaned, but overall, it was a very clean comfortable house.

Anniversary/family getaway

This log cabin was purely beautiful and nice and peaceful… what a perfect family getaway… when checking in they had a nice little welcome note with snacks and a bottle of wine… the house was greatly stocked in the kitchen towels blankets games etc.. we will definitely be back again.. thank you for sharing ur beautiful home with us.. it was the perfect getaway

Log Cabin Review

We truly enjoyed our time. The one disappointment was that the ice make was not working and we were not informed about it prior to our stay. Showed up with our adult beverages and had to run out for ice. Home and location were excellent
