"The property is pretty. The description details which have now been changed were misinforming. The ad said there was a bathroom. There isn't unless you go outside or into the main house. The hosts failed to mention that there are no electrical outlets. Nothing in the treehouse to charge phones, tablets or medical equip. They were very clear on "No Refunds." "Very nice and convenient location. Becoming a bit "tired" looking but still very tidy. Room was missing extra blankets, stayed in winter and it had enough linnen on the bed for a summer stayover. Enjoyed the stay :)"

"Stayed at an apartment for 2 nights in June 2025 and very happy with our stay. The accommodation is excellent and overlooks the best beach in New Zealand - 10 min walk to an impressive array of shops, bars and restaurants. Have no hesitation in recommending"

"The property is in a good condition, slightly dated but beautiful and comfy. The room we stayed in was well laid out, and very nice for a family visit. Overall a fantastic place to stay but absolute cherry on top was the service. The management are so kind, and thoughtful. I left them a pack of lollies to say thanks because after a previous bad experience somewhere else they really made up for it. "

"Had a one night stay following a trip to Hobbiton movie set. Stayed in chalet Frodo which is only a 10-15 min drive from Hobbiton.The chalet is very clean and well appointed. While quite compact it had everything the two of us required for an overnight stay. We had dinner at Osteria restaurant in the main centre which is only a 3 min drive away. Thoroughly recommend Osteria for quality of food, portion size , atmosphere and price"

"The property was in a great location for access to restaurants, shopping, beaches, Mount Maunganui etc. The beautiful beaches were 1/2 block away on 2 sides. We had a full view of Mount Maunganui and from our balcony, we had a peek a boo view of the ocean. The condo was across the street from the base of Mount Maunganui which had a wonderful gentle walking trail around the base as well as a more difficult trail to the top.
