"The location, right on the boardwalk, is excellent. We had two rooms which turned out to be in the annex across the street. That was an issue because I was having some trouble with my foot and preferred being closer to the breakfast, the lobby, etc. In addition both rooms had complete kitchens but no table or chairs. Not even a desk space for a laptop. This makes no sense and I wish there had been a way to know it before booking. Breakfast was nice and we enjoyed the veranda with the fire pit...

"Comfortable bed, nice sized room with very clean bathroom. Only complaint that's keeping this from being five stars is the middle window of the three large vertical windows of my beach view room was 85% covered in moisture / what looked like mold starting to grow inside. Clearly rain or some type of water got behind one of the panes. Otherwise, I highly recommend this hotel it was an easy, relaxing overnight stay."

"This hotel is spacious and clean, offering a hot buffet breakfast for free and an indoor, heated salt pool. The parking is ample and you can walk to the pizza shop or sandwich deli. Because it is on the east side of route 1, you can access Lewes, the ferry, or Cape Henlopen state park without getting into traffic on route 1. Midweek prices are very fair, especially off-season. The staff is friendly and welcoming."

"This was our first time staying at The Montreal and the rooms and property and staff were all wonderful! We even added an extra night and even though we had to switch rooms, they were very accommodating. We will be back"

"We loved how the hotel was right on the beach! Very modern room that was clean and comfortable! We stayed in the king size bed room on the 2nd floor. There isn’t an elevator, but the stairs are wide and easy to climb. There is a nice balcony with chairs and high table to put a drink on and relax!There also a small refrigerator great for keeping our drinks cold! You have access to the beach. For a nice walk in the sand barefoot while watching the sunrise! We needed a recommendation for dinner...

"We love staying at the Avenue! Breakfast is always warm and tasty and they go above and beyond to make guests comfortable. Love hanging out in the beautiful lobby for wine and cheese or just to take a break from the heat. We will be back again soon!"
