We loved this house! Had everything we needed! We were a big group of family in Girdwood for a wedding! The house was plenty big enough for all of us we were all able to have each family group in their own bedrooms and have our own bathrooms! And it was definitely more affordable splitting it four ways! The location was great! It was exactly where we needed to be for the proximity of the wedding. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

This spacious home was PERFECT for 6 of us! Each couple/person had their own bedroom and bathroom. A plus! The home was central to everything we did for a week. So convenient no matter which direction we chose to go....from Denali, to Whittier, to Seward, to Kenai, and right there at Alyeska. The home was comfortable and well appointed with necessities. Self check-in was simple and check-out the same. A nice feature. Walking distance to many places right in Girdwood. So happy we were able to get this home as our home base for our fabulous family vacation! Thank you Shoman!

we found the house to be very clean and very interesting. We had both units so had the entire house. we loved the asian decorating. You can walk to the Alyeska resort and also a brewery where you can eat at the food trucks. The living area is a little small but we managed with our group of 13.

Lovely Sanctuary

We were impressed by the home, and it’s fun to explore. Plenty of spaces for everyone. The kitchen is functional for cooking. The host is excellent. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Alaska family reunion

Overall good spot for getting around! Beds were comfortable. Layout for several floors was nice. Could have used a TV and refrigerator on lower level. Steam shower was great! Have two washer and dryer units was wonderful! The few games were great for kids- could have used a game room with the five kids we had in our group:) Overall we had a great stay!!

Great location

Overall we enjoyed the house. This is a great house for large groups and is walking distance to the lifts, the Bake Shop and Sitzmark. We were surprised to find that one of the bedrooms had paper walls which made us pretty nervous with young kids in our group. Would not recommend this for families with children under 5.

Perfect House for Family stay in Girdwood

This beautiful, comfortable home was an anchor for our family of 11 during this part of our Alaska visit! We shared some great family times at the end of days filled with magical adventures. Our host. Shoman, was extremely responsive, anticipating our questions and making everything as easy as possible for us! We left with hearts full of gratitude.

Spacious layout and convenient location

We enjoyed the abundance of bedrooms and bathrooms for the 9 of us. It's conveniently located near one of the helicopter tour companies and the dogsled tour as well. There were a few appliances not working but there were extras of them. A quick note, the photo that has a bathtub is old; it has been switched to a shower. Communication and check in was great!

Just right

Our daughter got married in Girdwood. We rented this beautiful house for out of town family and friends to stay for the weekend. We had 11 overnight guests and hosted a dinner for about 40 people and there was plenty of room for everybody on the huge deck to enjoy. The kitchen was very well stocked. I would highly recommend this house for any group to stay.

Wonderful base camp for our wedding weekend!

We hosted our bridal party at the Asian Motif Lodge for our wedding weekend. It was a perfect location and fit all of us very comfortably. The deck was large and the perfect place for dinner in the sunshine!! Thank you!!

Convenient with beautiful views

The house was spacious and cozy. Great for family togetherness. The house is conveniently located in between the resort and town. The only draw back was the TV. It was not big enough and in an area that was not viewable for everyone to enjoy football and movie night. Mrs. Shomen is a wonderful host and made sure I knew how to reach out to her personally if needed. This was the Cherry on my family vacation 🥰
