    Sala de estar / comedor: con quemador de combustible múltiple, reproductor de DVD y sofá cama doble.
    Cocina: con cocina eléctrica, microondas y lavadora.
    Cuarto de baño con ducha en el baño y aseo.
    Primer piso:
    Dormitorio 1: con cama de matrimonio.
    Dormitorio 2: Con dos camas individuales. Calefactores eléctricos, electricidad, ropa de cama y Wi-Fi incluidos. Combustible inicial para quemador multicombustible incluido. Alquiler de toallas. Cuna y trona. Jardín cerrado con muebles de jardín y barbacoa. Estacionamiento privado para 2 autos. No Fumar.. Esta cabaña de piedra del siglo XVIII está escondida en una empinada pista de grava con vistas al arbolado Tyne Valley y North Pennine Fells. Es un lugar apartado junto a la casa del propietario y se beneficia del agua caliente alimentada por energía solar. Hay acceso por senderos a Pennine Way y pistas locales con una variedad de atracciones locales, como el ferrocarril South Tynedale Steam Railway, centros de patrimonio minero de plomo, un museo de transporte, una fábrica de velas hechas a mano y el encanto histórico de Alston a una milla de distancia, con su empinadas calles empedradas y buenos pubs. La zona es ideal para caminar y andar en bicicleta de montaña. Tanto el Muro de Adriano como el Distrito de los Lagos están a media hora en coche. Tiendas y pubs 1 milla.

An excellent cottage, out of the way with amazing scenery.

An excellent cottage, out of the way with amazing scenery. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. This is a great base for exploring both Northumberland and the Lake District. Easy walks from the cottage or just sit on the garden and enjoy the views. Very accurate description and photos. Would visit again without reservation.

Widow cottage is a very special place to stay for a holiday.

Widow cottage is a very special place to stay for a holiday. Very friendly owner's, Beautiful location ,total piece and quite away from all the noise and light pollution. Surrounded by wild open country side. Very dog friendly our husky loved all the walks from the cottage and the surrounding area.

What a beautiful cottage in such a beautiful corner of the world. We wanted a quiet getaway to relax and recharge and it was exactly what we wanted. The owners were wonderful and full of interesting information about the surroundings. Would definitely go back again.

We had a lovely relaxing short break at Widows Cottage.

We had a lovely relaxing short break at Widows Cottage. It was easy to find just off the a-road, and Phil was there to greet us and show us in to an already lit fire. The cottage had all the amenities you would need for a much longer stay, and after settling in Phil came back to talk through everything we needed to know. The cottage was a great base to get out walking from, and very cosy in the cold evenings. Although just off an A-road you don't get any noise. The gravel track up to the cottage is pretty steep and bumpy, but my low powered hatchback managed it fine.

typical country cottage ,charming spotlessly clean quiet,,alround brilliant week. owners phil n heather pleasant ,very helpfull,can,t say more ,just a great time. (gary & mandy Nottingham)
