  • Newly renovated 1 bedroom unit featuring king size bed, as well as a queen Sofa Sleeper in the living area. The Kitchen area is equipped with a full size refrigerator, induction cooktop, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, Pots, pans and cooking utensils.
    Conveniently located right across the road from Starlight beach, and the new public splash park. Centrally located close to shopping, bike path, restaurants, movie theaters , boat harbor and downtown.

Quaint, Clean, Cute

The newly renovated suite was very nice! It was everything we needed for our extended weekend in Alpena. Also the location! Walked across the street right to the beach. Brought our bikes and it was a perfect ride to the shops and local dining. Would stay again and again!

Great Lake Great Stay

Forty winks is a throwback to another era-kitschy and bright-from the outside. inside, the vacation rental is modern 2022! The beautifully update unit was clean, nicely decorated and so comfortable. The kitchen has a full size fridge, microwave and teo conduction plates for any cooking you might want to do. A nice bar area with chairs and a comfy couch and tv finish the main room. The bedroom was large with a king bed, nice wardrobe and tv. Charging units for electronics were on each bed stand. Bathroom was also nicely set up and unbelievably clean. We would absoluetly stay again.

We came to just explore the area. Great location. Close to town. Great beach right scraps the road. JJ’s Pizza and Steak is best place to eat in town. Great hiking north of town.

Family getaway

The location and property were great for our small family of 3. Downtown Alpena was a nice 20 minute stroll, the beach with playground and splashpad were across the road. There were great eats all within a short walk too. Check-in was easy.

Perfect family getaway

Just enough room for our family of 4 & had everything we needed. Very clean unit, the only suggestion I have is towel hooks near the shower. Lake & splash park across the street was great! Would definitely stay again.

Great stay!

Kris has a great place! It is very close to the beach and splash pad, which was perfect for our kids. We have a baby and a 6 year old and the room was exactly what we needed. Kris was a wonderful host and our daughter enjoyed chatting with her and everyday would ask if we could go visit her in the office. Thanks, Kris!

Great little get away!

This quaint updated room was just what the Dr ordered. We walked across the street to the lake multiple times a day. It was so relaxing! Everything you need is here. The price was so affordable as well, I bet we'll be back!

Missing simple amenities

Place had an updated design, clean and near beach. No iron or ironing board. No counter space in the bathroom and towel hooks in the bathroom were in an awkward location which made them less useful
