"There were build works outside by terrace overlooking lake with cement mixer and angle grinder cutting stone most of the day the Saturday I was there . Not the best idea with patrons sitting there by temporary plastic tape eating and drinking . Perhaps a fencing of sorts to obscure the works ?"

"Although I was expecting a feature room with the four poster bed, the allocated room wasn’t bad and big enough for my family. Unfortunately, the welcome and interaction from the manager on duty when we arrived after a wedding nearby wasn’t the greatest. We had checked prior about check in times and were told it was 24 hours, so wasn’t expecting the resistance we got when we arrived. We told the manager on duty we were guests and needed to check in - he seemed rather confused and defensive about...

"We had a two night stay here for our anniversary. Cannot fault anything. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and immaculately clean. Breakfast was a great experience lots of choices from cold and hot options. Lovely garden to sit and relax. Had a lovely walk along the canal. Overall a great experience. "

"A lovely little pub ideally situated for walkers, cyclists and horse riders but breakfast is not served until 9am although it is advertised in the room as 8 to 10am. As like us most people holidaying for this reason want to be up early and out. We had a room for three adults but the hospitality tray was set for two people and as the room was not cleaned or beds made during our stay we only had one t bag left for the second morning."

"The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was large, cool, and the beds were very comfortable. There was a bath, but no plug! They were working on the WiFi so we were not able to connect to it in our room. The TV signal was erratic. We booked a buffet breakfast but all that was actually available were variations on a cooked breakfast, or Toast & Jam. But the cooked breakfast was good and the food we had for our evening meals was superb. The hotel is located...
