Nos encantó Skald Akureyri. El hotel tiene un diseño muy cool y está en muy buena ubicación, puedes ir caminando al centro, a la iglesia, al jardín botánico, etc. La habitación fue muy cómoda y el baño increíble, justo la pausa que necesitábamos durante nuestro viaje por el ring road. Pagamos por el desayuno y estuvo muy rico, un excelente inicio para el día. También tuvimos oportunidad de disfrutar unas bebidas y aperitivos del bar, todo estuvo delicioso. La atención igual fue excelente. ¡Nos encantó hospedarnos en este hotel de Hilton! 100% recomendado.

We had an unforgettable stay at Skáld Akureyri. The hotel is beautifully furnished, and the attention to detail in the decor is stunning. Our room was spacious with plenty of room to move around comfortably. The bed provided an excellent night's sleep, but the real highlight was the heated flooring—such a luxurious touch that made the space feel warm and inviting. Highly recommend this property if you are looking for a special, hotel experience in North Iceland!

Great property, fairly new so was wonderful to experience it. Beautifully appointed rooms, comfortable bed, lobby lounge is big with lots of seating areas, to enjoy a drink after a days adventures. All staff members were friendly, helpful and very happy to assist with any needs. The property is located in the town, but towards one end so it is quite. Easily walkable to restaurants and main shopping area, and the pier. There is ample parking nearby and easy access to the main highway.

Lovely new art-themed hotel in Akureyri celebrating Icelandic, art and culture. Loved all the decor and elegant touches. Excellent breakfast and the staff were really wonderful, especially Juraj in the dining room.

The hotel is new with vibrant decor and wonderful appeal. Finding the entrance to the hotel is not well marked. There is no drive up option or bell service to help you carry luggage over an unfinished road. The pillow selection also was not up to the Hilton name.

The property is located next to all of the downtown shops and the famous church, so it’s in a great location. We stayed in a two bedroom suite that was brand new and really nice with great kitchen set up and very comfortable beds and bedrooms. Like most hotels in Iceland, the rooms are not air conditioned so it was very hot in early September. The hotel promptly brought us fans to help cool us off. The hotel lobby and bar are really nice and a comfortable setting for an afternoon cocktail! Parking near the hotel can be tough if you arrive later/at night. The hotel is a very close drive to Forest Lagoon Geo Thermal Baths, which is a must if you are in this area of Iceland.

The hotel is outstanding in every aspect. Its location is excellent, the design is modern, and the staff are exceptionally friendly and welcoming. A special thank you to Omar for his warm hospitality and outstanding service. The bathroom is beautifully designed, the bed is extremely comfortable, and the breakfast offers a wide variety of high-quality options. Everything exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended. This is a brand new hotel, it’s opened within the last few weeks. It is decorated beautifully and you feel like you’re in a really fancy private library from the second you walk in. The rooms are impeccably decorated and feel really elegant. Though it’s not the vibe my wife and I usually go for, we enjoyed our time here. I want to give a special shout out to the bartender Julian. He was attentive, friendly and very helpful. Overall great stay!

Noch nie erlebt, dass in einem 4-Sterne-Hotel das Zimmer erst nach Aufforderung gemacht wird. Eimer werden dann trotzdem nicht geleert und auch der Boden wird nicht gereinigt. Wenn man isländisch spricht, ist das Personal sehr bemüht, ansonsten pflichtbewusst höflich. Das Hotel an und für sich war schön und sehr neu, tadelloser Zustand.

Our stay had a disappointing beginning, but the hotel made a real effort to recover it. We booked a Junior Suite through Expedia, but at check-in we were placed in a one-bedroom apartment in a separate building and were told it was an upgrade. We had not been informed about the change or asked whether we wanted it. Although the apartment may technically be a higher category, for us it was not an upgrade because we specifically wanted to stay in the main hotel rather than walk outside to access the hotel facilities. Our first dinner was also very disappointing. After our first course, we waited almost an hour for the second course and eventually gave up and left the hotel to find dinner elsewhere. To her credit, the restaurant manager apologized sincerely and did not charge us for the first course. The following morning we explained everything to the front-desk manager. She handled the situation professionally. The hotel moved us into the Junior Suite we had originally booked, and invited us back for a complimentary dinner. Dinner was excellent. We appreciated the effort they made to recover our stay. Skáld is a beautiful new hotel and our Junior Suite was lovely, the view from the window is much nicer than the one-bedroom. There were clearly some service and communication issues during our visit, but I also want to recognize the staff who listened to our concerns and worked to make things right. I hope the hotel can improve these areas because the property itself is great
