"We stayed just one night at 101 Local since our tour started the next day. This is an excellent small hotel ideally situated for walking to downtown dining and harbor. The room we booked was very small but we did choose the cheapest option. Clean and functional with a popular dining and bar area. If staying for more nights, ensure your room size meets your needs. "After parking in the Kolaport bílahús it was a short 5 minute walk to the hotel while looking at the boats in the harbour. The hotel has a bakery right at the entrance so we had to wait for people to move aside in the queue to walk past and get to the reception. Honestly this is the only remotely negative thing there is to say. The reception is very friendly, the interior is wonderful and it feels very safe as you need to use your keycard to access the floor. The room was spaceous, the beds...

"The property is very centrally located for walking about the down town area. It was clean and very livable with a kitchenette and a separate lounge area which was great as we were there for five days. It is a bit noisy at night but what would you expect being in the center of the town. Lots of restaurants near by, out favourite were the Thai restaurant just up the road and a great Icelandic restaurant a short five minute walk called Islenski Barinn. We ate at both of them a couple of time....
