"A lovely one night stay. The pub is in a quiet village location, close to lots of interesting places in beautiful Dorset countryside. Our room was large, with an equally large bathroom. We ate in the pub in the evening. The menu choice was good, prices reasonable and the food was excellent. We had our breakfast served outside in the garden and, again, this was tasty, hot and really enjoyable. Thoroughly recommended."

"Great place to stay, easy for us to access Dorchester and Weymouth. Staff were all terrific, made the stay very welcoming. The room was lovely and comfortable (tiny bits of upkeep needed in the bathroom was my only point of feedback!) Would 100% recommend and stay again."

"The George is ideally located in the center of town near to a bus stop. Everything about our stay was wonderful; a large en-suite room beautifully decorated with large bathroom. We ate dinner at the George day of arrival which was delicious and breakfast was fabulous. I highly recommend the George. "

"Our host Steve was superb, nothing is too much trouble for him. If you want an elegant, stylish place to stay, you’ve found the right spot. I am extremely fussy and I couldn’t find any faults."

"We stayed here for the late summer bank holiday so the property was busy. That being said, the staff were friendly, available, and helpful. It almost felt like we were staying with really hospitable family! The dining area was extremely well appointed and clean. There were even options for gluten free diners. "Es war ein toller Aufenthalt in einem wunderschönen renovierten Pub! Wir haben zu fünft als Familie in der golden suite mit Strandblick gewohnt. Absolut gut war auch das Essen, das Frühstück war jeden Tag unglaublich lecker, und auch abends haben wir sehr gut gegessen! Wir haben es sehr genossen im West Bay Hotel!"

"Met the owners upon arrival. Lovely couple that were very informative, reviewed the property, how the main gathering room is handled and how breakfast runs. He showed us to our room and went over everything. We stayed 2 nights. He recommended several qrea restaurants. The breakfast was great. Very efficiently handled. Room dies have air conditioning.
