The hotel is located in an interesting area but not easy to access. Rooms are tiny but air conditioning worked well. Staff was extremely helpful providing tips and advice. Breakfast is served in a connecting restaurant but was disappointing with limited selection and little variety. The boutique hotel is very nice and right in the heart of the Royal Mile making it easy to drop by the hotel for a rest I the middle of the day. It’s the second time I’ve stayed at the Thistle Suites / Royal Garden Apartments and I have to say: staff at the front desk is just amazing. They’re friendly, welcoming and so helpful every time. The location is very convenient and you get everything you need in a few minutes walk. Plus, you can totally tell they’ve remodeled it AND coffee in the lobby was outstanding! This is totally worth the price. Book it. "The property is beautiful and well maintained. The staff were extremely helpful. Dining in all three restaurants was superb. We would definitely go back. The Falconry experience was amazing. Just be aware it is not run by the hotel but it is on or adjacent to the grounds. A two minute walk from the lobby."
