"I've stayed at this hotel many times over the years (starting back in the 1990s), including before it became a Red Roof Inn (it used to be a "mom and pop" called the Herkimer Motel). It has always been well maintained, and its an affordable place to stay in the area, I use it as a jumping off point to go to Glimmerglass Opera and Cooperstown. "The desk attendants were VERY friendly and helpful. The room was simple, yet comfortable. Great view of the lake. Access to a beach was available but we unfortunately had no time this trip. Would stay there again in the future. "
