"Great location for walking. The rooms and areas were a bit tired looking and worn, for example the towels were scraggy, there was no where to hang a towel in the bathroom, the lock on the bathroom door was dodgy, but the hotel staff in all areas from reception to the spa and the bistro were extremely friendly and professional. The pool area with the steam room and sauna although a little worn down was a nice welcome after a hike. The bistro evening menu, food and breakfast were all of a high...

"Rubbish was found all over the floor (plastic nails, bottle of water under the dressing table, half eaten cookie), bed extremely uncomfortable, food in the restaurant salty(when sent back the tone was like I was asking for more food, rather than trying to rectify error politely), no idea how this place is 4star, would never go back. Spa just re-opened after refurb, but works still going on, debri everywhere, smell of silicone in the changing room revolting. Staff on reception and spa lovely. "

"Our rooms had a lovely ( unexpected) sea view but as I found out on arrival, most if not all rooms, (other than accessibility/disability rooms) have a shower over the bath, so it wasn’t ideal for my 84yr old mother who doesn’t require an accessible room as she doesn’t have any disabilities or restrictions per se but can’t climb into the bath to take a shower. It is very unusual for a hotel these days to have baths in every room but the hotel was fully booked for a conference so unfortunately...

"The pictures online are nothing like the hotel when you get there the hotel needs a makeover. It says that it has two restaurants but in fact, the breakfast is only open till 10:30 in the morning and the brasserie was only open 2 times and I stayed a full week. It atates that it has a gym which it does not and hasn’t been working for years. The rooms are very dingy stuff caked and stuck on the walls. "We spent a lovely night at the B and B. Everything was perfect and they even left a G and T and beer in the fridge for us to enjoy and fresh milk in a jug. The beds were extremely comfortable and the water piping hot. The breakfast in the morning was lovely and our hosts could not have been more welcoming We will return again"

The room is very spacious - living room facilities, small kitchenette area (fridge and kettle, simple breakfast items of yoghurt, cereal, juice and welsh cakes, fresh milk and tea and coffee included), huge comfy bed, lovely bathroom and shower.
