During the Xmas holidays is beautifully decored and its sight is even more impressive. It was a great place to stay while we visited family in the area. Very comfortable rooms. Perfectly clean. Fabulous location close to the Nubble Lighthouse! We were off-season, so it was very quiet.

We had a great time at this property. Phyliss is responsive, the cottage was immaculately clean and the lighthouse is literally right outside your front door. We ate at the stand for lunch and the restaurant for dinner on the same day. This cottage does not disappoint. You take your coffee in the morning and walk up to the lighthouse 300 yards away and it is a great start to your day. Pics attached. Really nice hiking in the area. We visited a few trails and even drove up to Acadia for the day as it wasn’t that far to drive and hike. Phyliss even assisted with me getting flowers into the cottage before arrival. Nice touch. If you don’t book, you’re missing a great opportunity to impress. Thanks a bunch for making it easy Phyliss and team. Our 33rd anniversary wont be forgotten. Michael H

Beautiful Location . But the back porch which faces the ocean has two huge Spruce trees directly in front of the left side & right side windows. They block almost all of the view. It’s an easy fix to cut back below the window well or simple to replace them,

We really enjoyed our stay at the Rose Star Cottage! The location was perfect, just a short walk to the Nubble Lighthouse. The cottage was clean and well-equipped, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The cottage was very comfortable, and the screened-in porch was a nice bonus. The host was very accommodating and had excellent communication from beginning to end of our rental. We would definitely recommend this cottage for a relaxing and beautiful getaway!

This place is a gem! Perfect location and size. Walking distance to so many places. Cozy, comfy and relaxing. My favorite was the back enclosed porch. Morning coffee while sitting and listening to all the sounds (mostly birds) with a view of the lighthouse out the door. And having all the kitchen supplies needed to make our own meals was great. Highly recommend a stay here and will come back again if we can.

Quintessential Maine Cottage

Four mature “empty nester” former college roommates meeting for our annual reunion. Four lovely days on the Maine coast. We were initially hesitant given the proximity to a popular local restaurant, but that was a bonus. Very quiet, lovely spot. Hosts were thorough and responsive. Multiple sleeping options. Well stocked kitchen. Nothing fancy, just the basics. Would stay again.

Rose Star Cottage was Perfect

Rose Star Cottage was the perfect size and location for our vacation to Maine. Phyllis was so helpful before and during our trip. Highly recommend this property and would definitely come back!

Family Spring Break

Took the family on the trip for spring break. We loved the location. You can't beat the sunrises over the ocean and having the lighthouse right out the front door. The hosts were great and helped provide several dining recommendations which we loved.

Lovely cottage by the sea

The cottage is only a few meters from the ocean, and a short walk from the parking lot by Nubble Light. It has a full-size washer and dryer. The beds were comfortable. There was a surprise ice storm just before we arrived, and the owners, from Florida, arranged for the steps to be cleared and salted before we got back from dinner. I have allergies, and there were no air fresheners or other perfumes. We were very happy.

Fun off season stay!

We rented this space for family to stay over Thanksgiving. It was the perfect spot to spend the weekend! The cottage is roomy and well-appointed, and the views are unmatched. The hosts were also super easy to work with and very communicative. Highly recommend!!

Wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful time at Rose Star cottage. It was very clean and we loved sitting on the porch. Excellent location for a family-short walk to the lighthouse and Dunne’s ice cream. We enjoyed dinner at Fox’s lobster house right next door as well.

Perfect Maine Vacation Experience

We can't say enough about our stay at Rose Star Cottage. The cottage was immaculately clean, and ready for us. The location provided the quintessential New England vacation, with seafood galore, and plenty to do and see within a short drive, and in some instances, a short walk. The hosts - Phyllis & Steve were just terrific! I don't hesitate in the least to highly recommend this spot.
