"An elegantly appointed fairly formal country house in a beautiful rural setting, not far from a tiny small village. The rooms are comfortable and the hosts provide a great breakfast. Access to and from the property from the A roads was interesting to say the least. Single lane “roads” for the 2 miles either side of the property require a fair degree of both caution and concentration. Some parts will barely allow a car to pass. That said, it is worth the trip. Just do it slowly!"

"We were asked to book a breakfast time slot on arrival, so we selected 8:30–9:00. However, when we went down that morning, all the doors were locked and there was no staff present. We tried every contact number provided, including the delivery and service numbers advertised, but received no answer or callback. "These people are not interested in their guests and do not deserve anyone's custom. Apart from the barman, the owners completely ignored us on arrival while huddled around a table with their backs to us. We had travelled over 200 miles to get there, having booked many weeks ago and paid for They left us standing there for over 40 minutes with no explanation as to why we were still waiting for the key to our room. "We stayed here for 2 nights as was seeing take that the circus tour ,when we arrived we got a friendly welcome everything was explained to use and was close to train station and places to eat ,the room was clean and comfortable as well, bad points were there wasn't a breakfast option and the the car park is really small we had to park on opposite side of road at 1 point in our stay ."

"The property was clean and tidy, but a little tired, and the central heating wasn't working in the room; however, there was a small electric radiator available, which made the room bearable after an hour or so.
