Brand new for winter 2023, Sea Salt Apartment is a stylish one-bedroom split-level apartment perfect for romantic getaways or solo stays, in the centre of Whitby. Welcoming in plenty of natural light and boasting modern furnishings, the spacious apartment is a real home away from home. With full access to the apartment you can enjoy the open-plan living, kitchen and dining area, comfortable bedroom and a modern bathroom.

The Space:
Sea Salt Apartment boasts a welcoming and homely open plan kitchen, living and dining space. Ultra spacious, the living area includes a fern velvet sofa and a flat screen TV so it’s the ideal place to relax after a busy day of exploring the coast.

At the other end of the space is the kitchen area. Shaker on style, the kitchen features navy, wooden cabinets and white brick style tiles to create a sleek look. Fully equipped with modern appliances and cookware, you’ll have everything you could need to make the most of your self-catering stay.

The dining area seats two guests and is perfectly placed in the window of the property, ideal for watching the world go by with your morning coffee.

Head downstairs to the bedroom and you’ll find a comfortable king size bed, a set of bedside drawers and lamps, along with ample hanging space.

Modern and clean, the bathroom has a walk-in shower, WC and wash basin.

A real added bonus to Sea Salt Apartment is the balcony area at the entrance into the apartment. With a table and chairs, you can sit here to enjoy views over the Whitby rooftops.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full apartment. The keys to Sea Salt Apartment are accessed via a key safe box, and full details will be provided prior to your arrival.

Pay & display parking is available nearby. A list of the nearest options will be provided prior to check in.

A maximum of two well-behaved dogs are welcome to stay at Driftwood Apartment per reservation.

The Neighborhood:
Sea Salt Apartment sits on Flowergate, a popular shopping street in Whitby with independent shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs in abundance.

It’s on the West side town where you can discover fun arcades and plenty of fish restaurants! Continue along the lively road until you reach the beautiful, blue flag West Cliff Beach which is lined with idyllic beach huts.

Walk over the swing bridge which sits over the River Esk and you’ll find yourself on the East bank. Walk along Church Street and you’ll wind up at the East bank where you’ll find narrow medieval streets dotted with boutiques, pubs and fish restaurants. Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary. You can also discover the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’.

Step outside of Whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. Whitby forms part of the North York Moors National Park so it’s the perfect place for long walks.

Getting Around:
Sea Salt Apartment is located in the centre of Whitby.

Whitby train station is less than a mile away so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station.

There are plenty of bus routes throughout Whitby. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The X93 travels along the coast to Scarborough. The 95 route features plenty of quaint villages, such as Grosmont and Lealholm.
