"It's a very old building with only stairs but staff was more than pleasant adverse helpful. They bought our luggage up to our room and then even brought it back down I highly recommend this place."

"Lovely hotel. Clean room. Exceptionally warm welcome from Micheal. Being shown to the room is a lovely touch, rather than being pointed in the direction of your room. We didn't have breakfast, but will next time. Car parking excellent. We will definitely return to this hotel and hopefully enjoy the amenities, as this visit we were just staying for one night and didn't have time enjoy the splendour of the hotel."

"The room wasn't as clean as expected. The electric outlets didn't work. Someone came rapidly to fix it. At the restaurant, the server didn't bring us water like the others neither come back to see how we were doing. It is a good quality price. Even with those inconvénients, we would go back for a short journey. One or two days."

"We didn’t have Breakfast as meeting up with relatives at Restaurants in Bishops Waltham and Winchester. However, it was a quiet and peaceful Hotel in lovely Grounds with friendly staff and accommodation suitable for most stays at reasonable prices. Cruise packages would be an excellent reason to book this Hotel."

"This bed-and-breakfast is wonderful. A very cute hotel with a very nice breakfast. The location is fabulous. Only a block away from the Portsmouth historical Harbour area which includes the Mary Rose Tudor ship Museum. Located across the street from the train, bus station, and the ferry terminal if you want to go to the Isle of Wight. It’s an adult only property so you have to be over 21 to stay there. I highly recommend it."

"Only one small problem - no iron in the room - only a garment steamer was available which did not take out the wrinkles in my clothes. Plus no operating instructions were with it."

"This accommodation was absolutely lovely. In a perfect location with clean rooms, lovely bath and a lovely host. What more could you want!"

"Room was clean and tidy, bathroom was spacious (in previous occasions I've been assigned smaller bathrooms in which it was difficult to get in/out of the bath). Very quiet room even though it's next to the main road. I'd like it more if they provided the usual hotel amenities in the room (e.g. a bath cap). Breakfast is quite nice, a continental and full English buffet. Overall, I like the place."

"Perfect place for those taking a cruise from Southampton. We walked to the Sea City Museum. Hotel is close to the port and the train station."

"Had an amazing stay in tasteful and clean bedroom with comfy bed lovely Pillows and great bathroom. Lots of tea and coffee. Had dinner and breakfast in the pub and they were really tasty. Properly cooked bacon! Great wine list with lots of option. Really lovely beer garden and covered courtyard. Lovely staff. Also v close to Hambledon so a good base to visit there. Really recommend. "we really enjoyed this hotel. They had an a spa that was included that had a steam room, sauna hot tub and a pool. We missed the Michelin star restaurant but the other restaurant on the sixth floor was also very good. Very spacious rooms with good views of the harbor we would go back to this hotel in a heartbeat."

"Staff were friendly and welcoming on arrival and lovely to speak to throughout our short stay. The hotel is immaculately kept and tastefully furnished. Our room was spacious (family room with a queen bed and bunk beds for our 2 children was a dream for them) and had great amenities. Bathroom was clean and basic toiletries were supplied along with shaving and dental kits. Enjoyed our short stay and would highly recommned."
