"A pretty village pub in a lovely location. Spacious room ( we were given an upgrade), very comfortable bed. Excellent well cooked breakfast. But best of all the very welcoming friendly and efficient staff. They could not have been more charming and helpful "

"Room was clean, shower was good, all appliances worked well with no issues. Breakfast was very good, had a coffee and chilled in the lobby before heading off. They are accommodating and don’t rush you off which is nice. Have stayed here a few times and will go back again, the standard here doesn’t change which I love."

"I had a nice single room with a view. The great thing about this hotel is it's right on the beach. But not far from the station so you can jump on the train and enjoy the South Downs. "

"We booked for one night, then decided to have an extra night. Staff were really welcoming, the room was clean and quiet. Great location, beautiful views. Would definitely recommend. "

"Solo trip post hiking the Seven Sister's Cliffs. A beautiful and calm place to go to after a challenging hike. My room had a gorgeous view of the English Channel and the entire room and bathroom felt like you were staying in a top spa accommodation. Breakfast was of an array of nice choices. I will come again with my family!"

"This was a fun place to stay while visiting the battle field. The village was very interesting with many small shops. The room appeared to be recently renovated and staying above a pub was a fun experience. The pub itself was also excellent. Our only complaint was lack of air conditioning...which resulted in us opening a window...and listening to traffic (the road out front is very busy) All-in-all, I would strongly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area"

"Very good accommodation at its price point. Perfect position, traditional rooms and very pleasant staff. Definitely recommend and will stay again."

"Very nice beach front hotel - our room was massive with a lovely sea view, comfy bed, and nice feel to it, the only negative was the shower was slow to heat up - but was fine when it got going. Breakfast was pretty decent - the toasters were a bit slow, and the coffee wasn’t great but for the price couldn’t really complain. I would happily stay in the hotel again. "
