"If you want to experience a modernized historical property this is a good place. No TV, which was fine because we were there to hike, not sit in the room. It was odd that absolutely no staff seemed to be on the property Wednesday night through Thursday morning which was a little disconcerting. Also there was no dead bolt for the door. "We stayed for five days as base camp for enjoying the area. Upon first entering the room we were concerned we’d have enough space, but it was great for two of us and our two big fur kids. We loved the remodel, little extras like variable reading light, fans, goodie bag, and access to a fully stocked and equipped kitchen. The old motor lodge style of one level and parking outside your door is great. We would stay again for sure! "
