Our home has the most incredible view in Colorado. We have a fully fenced yard built in September 2025. All the bedrooms have access to fenced yard. On our beautiful wrap-around deck you will have unobstructed views of Mt Hope, Quail mountain, La Plata, and of course, Mt Elbert, the highest peak in Colorado. On the deck, you will find an outside fire feature and a barbecue grill both attached to house gas. The deck is fully furnished with bistro furniture, tables, chairs, and a rocker. You are steps away from BLM and National Forest trails that connect you to Mt Elbert Forebay. There is a fitness room with an Octane elliptical, a bench and weights and a steam shower to complete your workout. In the house, you will have all new appliances, washer, dryer, smart refrigerator, dishwasher, garbage disposal, stove, hood, and mircrowave. In the den, you have a dartboard, and a foosball table a queen sleeper sofa and a 65 inch smart tv. In the living room, you have an electric lazy-boy couch to relax, put your feet up and look at the view while watching your favorite shows and sports on a smart tv.
*Drip Coffee Maker and stainless steel French Press, filters and coffee provided.
*Water is mountain well water and is safe to drink from the tap or the filtered water on the refrigerator.
*Gas grill and Fire feature are connected to the house gas (no need to fill).
*Oil and spices and plenty of pots, pans, baking dishes, crock pot, roasting pan, glass baking dishes and an air fryer.
The house is 1 mile above Twin Lakes and 1.5 miles from Mt. Elbert Forebay walking distance, but there is parking at the lakes and beach chairs and towels at the house.

Donna was very sweet, left very clear guidance on how to use things, checkout preferences, etc. The property itself is beautiful, has amazing views, and was overall very clean. I plan on coming back here many times and can't wait for my next stay-cation!

My family and I had an incredible stay! The views are as breathtaking as described. We were there for the Leadville Trail 100 MTB and it made it very convenient for my family to watch the race (which goes by 5 minutes from the house) and then relax at the house while they waited. The house is very nice with lots of room. We were busy all weekend so didn't get a change to utilize all the amenities but there are a lot that are offered. The owners were very nice and responsive and made the whole experience great. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Peaceful Retreat with Breathtaking ViewsWe had an absolutely wonderful stay at this Twin Lakes property. The house was incredibly peaceful—perfect for a relaxing getaway. It was fully stocked with everything we needed, from kitchen essentials to cozy blankets, which made settling in effortless. One of the most magical parts of our stay was the large number of beautiful hummingbirds that visited daily. Watching them flit around the deck added such a special touch to the serene atmosphere. And the view—absolutely stunning! Whether we were enjoying our morning coffee or winding down in the evening, the scenery was unforgettable. Highly recommend this home for anyone looking to unwind and soak in the beauty of nature.

Best VRBO experience so far!

Donna was an incredible host! The house had everything we could possibly need, and all the previous reviews are absolutely spot on. The pictures don’t do the breathtaking views justice! I especially loved the trail right beside the house, which was perfect for morning walks with my dogs.Since it was windy most days, we didn’t get to enjoy the wood firepit as much as we had hoped, but the gas firepit was a fantastic alternative. Donna was extremely accommodating and responsive, making our stay even better.We will definitely be staying here again. In fact, we loved it so much that we’re even considering buying a home in Twin Lakes in the future!

Amazing Week at Beautiful Mountain Lodge

Our family had an amazing week staying at Donna and Greg's beautiful mountain lodge. The views were amazing and the pictures do not do it justice. The house was well stocked and very clean and comfortable. Donna and Greg were great to work with and quick to respond with any questions we had. We did not want to leave this beautiful spot and are looking forward to returning in the future!

Incredible views

The views did not disappoint. The outdoor fire pit was perfect for an evening of s’mores. I missed some early communication about our stay and Donna was very understanding. We wouldn’t hesitate to return again!

Beautiful vistas

We had a fantastic stay at Donna’s home. The home had everything you need for a cozy family vacation including a fully stocked kitchen, games and a lovely welcome gift basket from the owners. The home is situated in a perfect location with easy access to hiking trails and the lake. And the views are absolutely incredible. All communication was easy and prompt with Donna. We highly recommend this home and are already planning our next visit!

An absolute gem

This property is truly wonderful! Perfectly appointed with everything you might need and more. The views are absolutely amazing and the property is just as it appears in the listing. The property manager was extremely responsive prior to our arrival and the house had all the information and instructions we needed. We stay in a lot of Colorado vacation rentals and this tops our list. Would highly recommended!

You don’t want to miss the views

The last house on a dead end road that butts up to the National Forest. Lots of trails to walk on combined with the beautiful lake views. You can’t help but relax instantly. The house was lovely, clean, and exactly as advertised. Highly recommend it.

House and amenities as described in listing and lovely. House was clean and had everything we needed. Views are great, nice variety of hiking trails nearby and house located in quiet area. The hummingbird feeder was very entertaining and fun to watch up close on the porch.

Beautiful Views!

Twin Lakes is a good central location for visiting Aspen and the Maroon Bells (in Summer) and the Buena Vista. Plenty to go if you like the outdoors within a 45 minute drive! This property had a hiking trail leaving straight off the driveway, amazing views of the lakes and the tallest mountains in Colorado. We saw wildlife each day while sitting on the deck (fox, eagles, rabbits, deer, ground squirrels). The house was easy to find with the address provided and access was simple. We ate most meals at the house and kitchen was perfect for our needs. Our family of six had plenty of space and there were many games provided, including foosball and darts. The downstairs shower is a "steam shower", which was interesting. Overall, we loved our stay at this house in Twin Lakes!

Twin Lakes Heaven

I don't usually leave reviews but this property was exceptional! Amazing views, plenty of activities nearby, a beautiful home, and wonderful hosts that even left us a bottle of wine to enjoy! We definitely hope to return!
