Sky Meadows Cottage on Medicine Lake is a classic Northwoods lake cottage located 2 miles from the town of Three lakes, Wisconsin situated on 3.5 acre semi wooded lot with 200' of sandy lake frontage on the west shore of Medicine lake. The two bedroom one bathroom cottage is recently updated comfortably sleeps 4-5 people. Stunning lake views huge wrap around decks, cedar log swing, BBQ, & Camp fire pit area. Enjoy your Northwoods vacation with plenty of privacy & all the comforts of home. Excellent swimming from the sandy shoreline a large dock with mooring for one full size boat. Sky Meadows Cottage is a short walk to Medicine lake public boat landing ,watercraft sales,& Pike's Pine Isle bar. Medicine lake is 396 acres with a max depth of 45 feet its also part of the worlds largest inland chain of lakes 28 total all accessed from the dock at Sky Meadows Cottage.
Sky Meadows Cottage is conveniently located 10 miles south of Eagle River in close proximity to Nicolet National Forest, Three Eagle bike trail & several local summer camps Honeyrock , Luther , Ojibwa , & Deerhorn

Three Lakes is a cozy community on the south end of 28 interconnected lakes – the largest chain of inland freshwater lakes in the world. Here, anglers find some of the finest musky, walleye and bass fishing in the Northwoods. Three Lakes is also on the western edge of the spectacular 650,000-acre Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest offering scenic bicycling, hiking, camping, and hunting.

The Nicolet side of the National Forest offers spectacular opportunities for bicycling, hiking, birding, photography, hunting, camping, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling.

Downtown Three Lakes provides the old-fashioned charm of a store-front community. Its main street is lit by antique lampposts and lined with unique gift shops, restaurants and other small businesses. A family owned winery, Three Lakes Winery is located right in the downtown area.

Three Lakes began growing as a tourist vacation destination in the late 1930s. The increasing availability of automobiles, combined with the roads that existed from the logging industry, made the lakes and forests of the Three Lakes area an attractive vacation destination. Although tourism remains an important industry to the area, the town also has manufacturing, a winery, an arts center and numerous retail businesses that have diversified its economy.

Fantastic Lakeside Cottage!!

This is the perfect place to spend a week in the Northwoods! The property is right on the lake, incredibly clean, cozy and comfortable, has everything you’d want or need, and is in a terrific location! On top of that, Bill is a great host…quick and easy communication, gracious, and welcoming. We loved our stay!

This was by far one of the coziest lake properties we've stayed at. The views are breathtaking and the cottage is quaint, clean, and very well appointed. Our host, Bill, was very informative and accommodating. We're looking forward to staying here again!

Sky Meadows Cottage was fabulous

We enjoyed our stay very much. The cottage was neat and tidy and just as described. The lake view was gorgeous! We saw several loons and otters and enjoyed just relaxing each day on the deck, and using the kayaks. Bill was very helpful and responsive in the pre-arrival days. I didn't need to contact him throughout the stay, as everything was perfectly fine! Thanks for the great stay!

Not accurate description on Vrbo.

We were very disappointed that it was stated that the host(owner) has his business on the property we rented. We came there for a relaxing vacation and don't want to have the owner show up whenever. We also were VERY disappointed that he wouldn't let us put in a small room window A/C unit, we then asked him if we could get a small one that stands inside, he said yes so my husband went and bought one for $350. We hooked it up and sent pictures to the owner and he said we couldn't use it at first . It was a very unusually warm August there and the house was over 80 degrees. The owner told us that we shouldn't be inside we should be outside enjoying the lake. First of all we don't want to come back and sweat as we sleep, second we don't want anyone telling us how to spend our vacation. Needless to say we moved out and found another rental through Vasco and it was wonderful. We then called Vrbo and they contacted the owner, he then changed his tune and said we could run the A/C we bought. By then it was too late. The other thing is the mattress on the two beds were springs holding a sheet on them. VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. If we would have stayed there more than one night we would have gone back to Menards to buy two twin mattress. Over all VERY DISAPPOINTED with our experience here. The cabin has a killer view but that is about it. And I feel the owner should not be the host.

Relaxing stay with amazing view

Sky Meadows Cottage is a classic Northwoods cabin. It has a vintage feel with modern conveniences. The cabin was very clean and has everything you need to enjoy a relaxing vacation. The location on the chain of lakes is great with Pine Isle restaurant/bar within walking distance and just a short drive into town. The host provided great communication and we would definitely rent here again!!

Northwoods Gem

My husband and two children stayed over the Labor Day weekend. Sky Meadows Cottage is very well cared for and extremely clean. The view is breathtaking from sunup to sundown. Bill is a gracious host who was beyond helpful from our arrival as well as throughout our stay. I cannot say enough about the Cottage, a true gem that I highly recommend.

Great Cabin on the lake

Had a wonderful stay at this cabin with a fantastic view over Medicine Lake. Cabin was clean and fully loaded with amenities. Also provided were 2 kayaks, a row boat, and 2 bicycles. Bill was very helpful upon check in and provided a lot of information for the area. He also made himself available if we had any questions during our stay. Also nice to walk to Pine Isle for some good food and atmosphere on the water. Will definitely be staying here again in the future.

The Best Lake Views

My family stayed here for the week and enjoyed the incredible lake views and access. The cottage is better than advertised and was very well cared for and easily accommodated my wife and I and our two kids. The access to the chain of lakes is perfect and the fishing from the pier was good. But the best aspect is the lake view - whether from the deck or from the swing chair, unparalleled views. Bill, the owner, was very attentive and easy to work with. We highly recommend staying here!

It's All About the View (and Location)

Bill is a great host, meeting in person at check-in to providing details about the property. Cabin is clean, comfortable and well-stocked. The star of the show is the view from the cabin's deck and the location on Medicine Lake, in the middle of the chain, is ideal.

Ideal Place to Stay in Three Lakes

My husband and our two tiny dogs had a wonderful two weeks at Bill's cabin. Bill was readily available, grew up in the area, and can offer valuable advice. It's obvious he has put a lot of TLC into making his place a home to share. His cabin has everything needed to feel right at home. His offer to provide his bicycles, kayaks, and rowboat were very welcome. The resident neighbors on either side were quiet but very friendly the few times we passed them by. It was a real treat to be able to walk to Pike's Pine Isle--best pizza ever! And--what a view! We would love to come back.

Three Lakes Fun

The cottage is all that you need and nothing more. Everything works and is easy to use. The location is ideal, with the perfect view. Host was very detailed with instructions, which was a huge help, and provided two kayaks, which really sealed the deal.

Some dishes were not clean .. wash everything before you use them. Take along what you must have.

The cabin was comfortable and clean. The view was beautiful. We were looking for a get-away at almost the last minute and this was perfect. Close to 2 eateries/bars and not far from Three Lakes. The second best thing is they allowed our small dog to stay with us.

Perfect North Woods Cottage

Super clean (and I am crazy picky)! Very cute cottage - excellent location on Medicine Lake with great restaurant a few minutes walk away. Cottage is well stocked with essentials and items we don’t usually find in vaca rentals. So relaxing. Highly recommended for a couple or small family.

Very well equipped

The owner met us at check-in and went over and above making sure we had everything we needed for our weeklong stay. The cabin has everything you need, more-so than any other VRBO we have stayed at. The location on the chain of lakes is ideal and the view from the deck is amazing!

Amazing 10 days!

We had an amazing 10 day stay at Bill’s cabin in Three Lakes. The location was beautiful and the cabin and property so well kept and gave us a true Wisconsin get away. We caught over 100 fish off the dock, kayaked daily, and enjoyed breathtaking views of the night sky while enjoying campfires. This vacation was heavenly and one we will remember forever.

Excellent Location, Amazing Views, Great Owner

Best location on the chain with easy access to the other lakes, although we spent most of our time on Medicine Lake fishing, boating and swimming. There is a nice sandy shoreline and swim area off the dock. This lake house has amazing views of the lake and sky. We were lucky to be there for the full buck moon, a spectacular sight watching it rise and light up the lake at night. We also had some beautiful sunrises, sunsets and a full rainbow. We enjoyed the view from the deck, the swing and from the kitchen and living room. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The breeze off the lake kept the house comfortably cool. We were grateful to be able to dock our boat at the property and have use of the bikes and kayaks. Bill was quick to reply to any questions we had. He met us at check in to make sure we had everything we needed and at check out to ask how we enjoyed our stay. He is very knowledgeable of the surrounding areas and gave good recommendations. Thank you for sharing your family’s cabin with us. We would definitely rent again.

A Great Northwoods Getaway

To start off, Bill was incredibly quick to communicate and very helpful with any and all questions we had. He went above and beyond to make sure our stay was everything my fiance and I had hoped for. He knows the area very well and had countless recommendations when we asked for things to do, places to eat, etc. He had a row boat, kayaks, and bikes all ready for us to use, as well as firewood! Easily one of the best host experiences we've ever had. The location is a stunner and a perfect location to unwind and have some fun on the lake. It's also super close to a great bar and grill we frequented during our stay. In the area we also saw tons of deer and fawns, beautiful loons, and other animals which was nice coming from a city where the typical wildlife is pigeons and rats lol. The amenities and house were very well kept and you can see Bill really cares about providing the best stay & experience possible for his guests. tl;dr - 11/10, going to come back in the future. Thanks again Bill!

A Wonderful Cottage

Celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary, we have had many experiences of staying at VRBOs and other lodgings in northern Wisconsin over the years. This particular property far surpassed any expectations we might have had. Bill, the owner, was so accommodating as he showed us around, gave us information about the Three Lakes area, including where to eat, hike, rent a boat. His love for his property is clear as he shares it's history. The updates he has done and continues to do make for a very comfortable retreat. My husband fished the entire time from the dock while I loved sitting on the deck reading and looking out over the beautiful lake. An avid fisherman, my husband was quite happy with the number of large fish he caught right off the dock, especially the largest musky he ever caught (approx.42lbs./47"). We got a much-needed respite in a clean and "covid" safe environment, thanks to Bill's attention to every detail making it a "turn-key" cottage. We hope to return to this wonderful property.

Incredible Lake Views

I really enjoyed my stay at the cabin. The cabin is located close to the town of Three Lakes, which makes it very convenient for groceries and bait. Bill, the owner, was very helpful and informative. During my stay I had a problem with my boat motor and Bill provided me with information for a boat mechanic, who promptly took care of my issue onsite. The views of the lake from the deck are outstanding. I fished from the dock several times and caught enough to have a fish dinner one night.

Lovely Northwoods Escape

The best experience we could have asked for!

I traveled here with my family (4 adults in total) and our dog, and we absolutely had the best time. Prior to check in, Bill was very communicative and provided all the necessary information about check-in time and getting to the place. When we arrived on the property, we were blown away by how well kept everything was and... THE VIEW! We loved sitting on the wooden swing to look out at the lake. Bill walked us through everything we needed to know about the house, gave us life jackets to use the three complimentary boats, and recommended some wonderful activities and food options. There are neighbors on both sides, but the cabin felt very private and serene. Outside, you will find two charcoal grills! The house itself is the perfect size for 4-5 adults, and would be great for a family with kids too. The kitchen came fully equipped with cooking utensils, plates, cups, aluminum foil, plastic bags, and a full pantry for cooking. In the living room, there are two large comfy couches (one is a futon for sleeping if you choose), and a Roku TV. The bathroom has everything you need including a first aid kit, fresh bath towels, and soaps/shampoo. The shower had lots of hot water for 4 adults to shower in succession. In one bedroom, there is a brand new double memory foam mattress, which was incredibly comfortable. The other room has two twin sized beds which can easily be pushed together to make a queen. The room also came with vintage board games and a bunch of great books. At night, with the windows cracked open, you could hear loons out on the lake calling to one another! And the stars did not disappoint. The lake itself is right in front of the house, down a long set of beautifully made stairs with safety lights at the top so you don't find yourself accidentally tumbling down them at night. The waterfront is sandy- perfect for swimming and setting off on the kayaks or rowboat. And the lake is amazing to explore (there is a private island across the way that is fun to see, lots of fishing- caught a musky from the dock at the house!). All in all, this place did not disappoint and Bill was a superb host, always a text or call away to help or recommend your next day trip. The location is also choice- Three Lakes is so cute and has lots to offer, and Eagle River is a quick 15 min drive. The proximity to the UP allowed us to to take a day trip to the Porcupine mountains and Lake Superior. Thank you so much Bill- we will be seeing you again!

Relaxing stay with beautiful view

We stayed Jul 9-16, 2021. The property was clean and offered many amenities. The owner is very welcoming and can provide lots of information regarding the local area and lake. It was very relaxing to eat breakfast and be able to look over the lake. The cabin provides great views of the lake. The bed was comfortable and good hot shower. The shoreline is sandy and good for swimming and wading in the water. The fishing was slow but understand that mid summer is not peak fishing season. Did have some luck fishing for smallmouth bass with top water lures along the rocky shoreline in morning and evening.

Relaxed vacation with view

Had a great weeks stay at the cabin. Great view from cabin and deck. Cabin was big enough for 5 adults. Bonus was catching walleyes on lake right in front of cabin. Will be back again. Thanks Bill.
