Welcome to the charming Downtown St. Augustine Guest House, nestled in the heart of the historic city. Tucked away on a quaint, tree-lined street, our prime location is just a stone's throw from a delightful array of dining options, iconic historical sites, St. George Street's shopping district, the picturesque Bayfront, and all the city's attractions. You'll be pleased to know that Francis Field, where numerous festivals take place, is only a two-minute stroll away.

We've designed this sanctuary to be your perfect base for exploring the Old City. After a day of sightseeing, return to unwind and recharge in our serene retreat. The enclosed front, side, and backyard boast tropical lemon and orange fruit trees. Fancy a BBQ? Our private backyard comes complete with a gas grill, and a Bluetooth BOSE speaker is at your service for outdoor ambiance. We've even added a stone patio and fire pit, enhancing your home away from home.

Anticipating your every need has been our mission, and over the years, we've fine-tuned every detail. As VRBO Preferred Partners and SuperHosts, our unique home features artistic touches, including hand-painted Sticks furniture, Shoestring Creations headboards, and Mackenzie Child's decor throughout. We take pride in showcasing local art, particularly with a focus on mermaids, sea horses, and sea turtles, which lend our top vacation rental its captivating theme. A Treasure Chest in the City

Every inch of this home felt like a gift. From the eclectic beachy artwork to the thoughtful extras tucked into every corner, it was clear the hosts poured love and care into every detail. Close to Everything!

We spent a week in this property as a family of four with two teenagers. It was centrally located within walking distance to many of the to-do’s in St Augustine. The house was well appointed with all necessities and even had many extras that were extremely useful and enjoyable, like the record player and Bluetooth speakers. The living room was perfect for relaxing after a hot day out walking the historic district and sightseeing. Would definitely recommend staying here!

This house was absolutely beautiful! It was very clean and beautifully decorated. The owners have truly thought of everything that you might need while on vacation and then some. The location was perfectly located close to all of the attractions but far enough away from the hustle and bustle to enjoy a quiet, relaxing stay. We can’t wait to stay here again next time we visit St. Augustine.

Wonderful stay

My family came into St. Augustine for Memorial Day weekend. The property is in a charming historic area with an easy walk to the old center of the city. The check in was simple and the communication from the owners was excellent. The house was comfortable for our family, and we’d definitely stay again.

Best Ever Home We've Stayed In

This home is extremely charming and very well decorated. It was spacious and comfortable. The owners were extremely responsive to a couple of questions we had for them. They really thought of everything. Even supplies of often forgotten items were provided in the bathroom like toothpaste etc. The kitchen was clean and well equipped. Its just a short walk to the fort and St. George Street. We would definitely want to stay again.

Fabulous Home Away From Home

We absolutely love this home - it was our 4th visit. When we arrive, everything is just as it should be. Lovely back yard to sit outside and enjoy beautiful weather. This home is charming and Doug and Wendy are terrific hosts. We will definitely be back!

Charming home in walkable neighborhood

We had a wonderful stay at the Artisan Cottage! Wendy and David were marvelous hosts. The home was very clean and had more supplies and amenities than we could have anticipated. The decor was fun, charming and eclectic. The communication with our hosts was great. The home was a 10 to15 minute walk to historical St. Augustine. There was excellent on-site parking. We would highly recommend the Artisan Cottage to anyone visiting St. Augustine!

Beautiful House in a Great Location!

We had a wonderful time staying at this property. Amazing location (St. George St. is only about 8-10 min walk!) and a beautiful home with all you could need. They provide all the essentials so you don't need to go out and buy little things you may have forgotten, including spices, foil, toothpaste, etc. My kids (9 and 12) loved playing cornhole outside and sitting by the firepit listening to music in the evening! We had an issue with the microwave where it ended up dying on our 3rd night. The owners responded SUPER quick and sent out a countertop one for us to use (within 1-2 hours!) until they could replace the over the stove one. Their response time is great and they're super easy to work with. I wish they owned properties in more locations :) lolWould 100% stay here again and recommend to anyone looking for a nice, quiet, but CLOSE property to downtown.

Birthday weekend getaway

This charming house was the perfect place to celebrate some milestone birthdays with friends! The colorful decor, little details like trays filled with toiletries that you might’ve forgotten to pack, the accent lighting, and fire pit out back, and the well-stocked kitchen all made for a comfortable stay! Best location in St Augustine

We were greeted to a beautiful home and incredible hosts. The house is immaculate and the location is close enough to walk anywhere and yet secluded enough to be able to relax away from the partiers. The hosts made sure we knew they were available if we needed them but, not intrusive.We could not have found a better place to call home base while we enjoyed St Augustine.

Awe Struck October '24

That's what we were when we walked in...awe struck. Someone else wrote "hands down the best VRBO I've ever stayed in" and I agree! Wendy and David are awesome, everything was there as described, BUT! the pictures don't do the place justice. The decorating, cleanliness, the amenities, I could go on and on. This was our first time to St. Augustine and it's amazing, you can walk to anywhere from this house. The shopping, dining and tours, all top shelf! And the people of the city itself were very friendly and welcoming....We're going back no question about it!

Absolutely Amazing

I cannot say enough about this wonderful property. We use VRBO regularly and I must say this is one of the best we have ever stayed at. The place is colorful, comfortable and has every possible thing you could want and things you didn't know you wanted. The beds were comfortable and it was quiet. Wendy and David were great with communication and checking in to make sure all was well. It is close to all of the attractions and town and beaches, yet peaceful when sitting out back. You cannot go wrong with staying here. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

Wonderful stay

I cannot say enough good things about this property or the owners. We traveled in for our son’s wedding that was taking place the Saturday after Hurricane Milton. The owners reached out to let us know that the house was good and to be sure we were still coming. They even had the yard cleaned and things put back in the yard almost immediately. The property is perfect! They have thought of every detail. We will definitely be back!

Vacation Perfection!!

This adorable house is the epitome of vacation perfection!! From the Mackenzie-Childs furnishings to all the conveniences of home - and then some - we had a lovely week at 6 Loring Street in St. Augustine!! My son and his darling girlfriend joined us for the long weekend. Separating two "master" bedrooms with nearby bathrooms was perfect for two adult couples. If we forgot any travel items, they were graciously provided. The backyard is enticing...and the home is lovely, conveniently located, and beautifully decorated in a modern artistic style. I aspire to be a "rich hippie," having retired a year ago - for me - this was fabulous. All that was missing was my darling, Mick Jagger!! Highly recommended for an enjoyable, artistic change of pace and doting hosts!!

Wonderful Family Stay in St. Augustine

My family had an amazing time at this home! The hosts were incredibly gracious, and it’s clear they take great pride in their home and the service they provide. The eclectic style and vibrant colors made my young kids feel right at home, and the wide variety of games kept everyone entertained. The upscale appliances and amenities were a hit with the adults and much appreciated. Being just a few blocks from Downtown was convenient, though you might still need to drive to reach King Street. I highly recommend this home to anyone visiting St. Augustine, and we will definitely be back!

Oldest city stay

Very clean home has comfortable beds. Good pillows. Wanted for nothing in this spacious, well stocked house. Thoughtful grooming supplies provided in case of need for items inadvertently not packed. It is in a safe neighborhood. Close to historical sites. Has easy access to highway. Excellent, responsive hosts. Would stay again!
