"I arrived on a motorcycle with the large carpark to choose from and found a little out of view corner to leave the bike over night and because the hotel appears isolated i wasn't bother about security too much. One enters the hotel through two automatic sliding doors which is a bonus when carrying bags and crash helmets. The first door opens in to a cosy vestibule with seating around a rather modern teardrop shaped lig burner that appears to drip from the ceiling, it would be a wonderful place...

"Great experience here. Facilities are great, spa fantastic, views even better, breakfast and other food options are just right. Rooms were and other interiors are clean and very well presented. Parking is by the door and easy accessed. If I’m being really picky (didn’t impact stay) - clearly making improvements so the outside had a lot of building equipment around made outside look a little scruffy and the spa area needed a bit of a tidy during the day as a bit of glassware left lying...

"Great value for money and in good condition. The only negative was how small the ‘double’ bed was which was also pushed up right against a wall. Fine for 1 person but very snug for 2. "

"We found this hotel and it’s an absolute gem! Nestled above Lake Windermere, it has a lovely atmosphere and comfy rooms. We had both dinner and breakfast there and they were both tasty and to a high standard. Staff were friendly and helpful at all times. We would definitely stay there again"

"Superb hotel. Perfect location at the edges of Cartmel. Decent sized rooms and a big building for the number of rooms so lots of space. Breakfast was really great - lots of choices including some unusual options (e.g courgette fritters) all cooked beautifully."
