Beautifully renovated property with some nice views

My wife and I really enjoyed our experience in this property. There were a few small things that we thought could use a measure of improvement:- A tiny bit of wood smoke smell inside the property (maybe from others having improperly used the fireplace?)- Front door could not be locked from the inside- Windows were coveredThese were small things to us as we really did enjoy the warm colors, art, and overall feel of the property inside. We also really enjoyed the mountain views and the property offered some great star gazing at night outside.

Cute home with a break from the city

The house was beautiful, the art work in it was unique and a treat to see. The home comfortably fits 4 people and has a cozy fireplace to relax at in the evenings. The jacuzzi was also very nice to use in the 36 degree weather. Overall it was a nice stay, the host dropped by at one point and had a nice chat with my sister. I would recommend staying here!My only downside was the kitchen sink did not have hot water and one of the bedrooms the overhead heater did not work. (So I used the portable ones)Note ** shower heat and cold are switched** just heads up for future renters!

150 year old adobe house

this property is more expensive than it should be. 2 coffee cups for 4 people, seating difficult for 4 people. Dirty dishes in the sink, used washcloths in the shower. This could be a great property when all is done, there seems to be a lot of work to be done. The wi-fi was not working when we checked in but miraculously worked the next morning. There is a new washer and dryer and the bathroom has been remodeled. The beds were comfortable except for the plastic mattress cover. The air conditioning in the bedroom worked really well. The host is very friendly and knowledgeable about thee area.

Beautiful and Historic Stay

We had an amazing time in this home. Kathryn was attentive and welcoming. She cut us fresh sunflowers from the garden and gave us a tour of the historic church across the street on our last day. We slept well as the beds were comfortable and the area was quiet. One of my favorite parts of our stay was enjoying the hot tub. This home is even more stunning in person. It was a real pleasure to meet Kathryn and learn about her work in restoring property in Santa Cruz. The location was great as we were half an hour from Santa Fe and only 1-1.5 hours from places such as Taos and Jemez Falls. I definitely recommend this home and plan to come back soon!

A quaint historical home

We enjoyed our stay in this home. Our host, Kathryn, was very attentive to our needs. The adobe home has been restored, and Kathryn is making improvements to the property. We appreciated the care and creativity she used while restoring and decorating the casita.

Fun, funky and historic

Very clean and comfortable. Loved the artwork all around the house and the history of the place. Convenient to many different activities in the area. Hot tub was much appreciated after hiking.

Sad in Santa Cruz

pictures inaccurate, safety/security issues. only lock on front door was padlock w/chain. To lock front door during stay you removed those - put on inside of door and locked yourself in, leaving only back door as exit in emergency. Host worked w/us to get a different place of hers across the street but busy street only 10 feet away from the only bedroom. Other bed in living room, security also issue as padlock and chains used on all door making us question safety of neighborhood. Only 1 door for exit (fire code?) 3 night reservation, left after only staying 2.

What a gift

This place was incredible! Rustic yet modern, Kathryn has done a wonderful job of preserving this historical home. She was so informative and helpful, I could have hung out with her all day! My mother and I slept great in the home and felt very safe.

Perfect romantic get a way

Katherine, The host was fantastic! We let her know that one of her Previous tenants may have Damage the internet box because it was not working.She called and helped us fix it right away, Help does come up with a way to make it work while we were there. I love how much she cares about her property.As she was ready and willing to explain everything to us.As we gotthere. I even lost the email with my code.And she still gave it to me again and Was there to help us with anything we needed. The house was Beautiful, Quiet, The hot tub Amazing it was exactly as described. We will definitely be back!

Lovely host

The hostess was a doll, she checked on us multiple time, made restaurant recommendation and even invited us to join her on a little walk that afternoon on a nature trail where they walk their dogs. Super cute and unique little house, perfect for just having a chill weekend.
