Pool, Family friendly, desert retreat with a firepit!

Our unique Tempe escape offers a calm, comfortable, and COOL spot (with your own outdoor pool) for you to relax as your home away from home. Whether coming for a golf trip, southwest adventure, visiting ASU, or restorative retreat, our home is perfect for your getaway!

15 mins to multiple golf courses, ASU, and downtown Tempe. Under 30 to Phoenix, Scottsdale, Camelback Mountain, and Phoenix Mountain Preserve--or relax by the pool, tell stories around our outdoor firepit, and rejuvenate with some yoga!

The space

Guest access
The whole home is available for access except the garage.

Detailed check-in instructions will be provided 24 to 48 hours before your arrival. You will be provided with a code for the smart lock on the front door.

Check in is at 4pm.
Check out is at 11am.

Other things to note
Pool
Do not remove the pool vacuum or pool vacuum hose from the pool. We will charge a $250 fine for damages.

Do not tamper with the pool heater, the temperature will be set between 78F and 80F. In addition, we have a solar pool cover to help regulate the temperature of the pool. If you would like the pool temperature to stay within the 78F to 80F range, please do place the pool cover overnight.

Parties
We have a strict no party policy. No parties, gatherings, or events of any size will be permitted.

Security Cameras
We have an external security camera facing the side entrance to the property and a Ring door bell camera at the front door to keep guests safe. We do not have any video surveillance in the home or facing the pool area.

Pets
Unfortunately, we do not allow pets at the home, inside or outside. The owners of the property and some guests have severe allergies and the home must remain pet free.

Noise Ordinance
The city of Tempe will fine guests up to $1,000 for noise disturbances. Any noise violations incurred during your stay, are your responsibility. Please do respect our neighbors and keep your volume to a minimum from 10pm to 7am.

Fires
The city of Tempe strictly prohibits fires from the month of May til the end of September. Guests who break this rule could be fined by the county.

Scheduled Vendors
We have a few vendors that come by to ensure that the property is maintained:
1. Pool company is scheduled to come by every Tuesday morning
2. Landscaper comes by once a month to maintain the yard
3. Pest control will come by once a month

While we will try our best to not have the monthly vendors come by during your stay, we cannot promise that it won't happen, thank you for your understanding.

Pool Disclaimer
1. Pools pose a risk to all Guests and their family and friends. Risks can include but not be limited to bodily injury including permanent disability, paralysis, and even death.
2. These risks may result from circumstances such as the misuse of the pool by yourself or others, or the unavailability of emergency medical care. Guest(s) acknowledge and understand that use of the pool is at their own risk. Guest(s) assume full responsibility for the safety and well-being of all Guest(s) when using, congregating around or walking near the pool. GUESTS AGREE TO CLOSELY MONITOR ALL CHILDREN AND/OR OTHER GUESTS (ESPECIALLY THOSE THAT CANNOT SWIM) TO ENSURE THEIR SAFETY AROUND THE POOL.
3. Guests agree to comply with all posted signs, disclaimers and safety guidelines. ABSOLUTELY NO DIVING IS ALLOWED. Guest(s) agree to indemnify, release from liability, and hold harmless the owners, including all Members, Managers and employees thereof, from any and all costs, expenses, legal proceedings, attorney fees, claims or demands whether from loss of life, damage to property or injury to you, your agent, family or other guests for use of the pool.

Other Disclaimers:
In Arizona, there are tiny beetles that live in the area and occasionally find their way into the home, do not be alarmed as these bugs are harmless. We employ a pest control who regularly sprays the house to address these beetles (and any other pests), which is why the beetles will most likely be dead if you see them. Our cleaner comes before every new guest arrives and cleans any in the house (along with other regular cleaning) but there may be some that come in during your stay as well. We have a vacuum cleaner in the home that can be used to vacuum them up.

Guests may find dust, sand and/or debris in the pool due to winds that come through the state in the summertime. While we cannot control nature, we have a pool vacuum that alleviates the issue, as well as a pool net that you may use to fish debris out of the pool. We also have a pool cleaner who professionally cleans and balances the chemicals in the pool weekly so that it is safe to swim in.

The thermostat cannot be set below 70 degrees. Doing so risks freezing up the coil in the air conditioning unit, which will cause the AC to stop functioning entirely until the coil thaws — which can take up to a few days and leave you without any AC in the meantime. We advise keeping the AC no more than 20 degrees lower than the temperature outside to prevent freezing the AC coil. You may also use the blackout curtains to assist with cooling of the home.

We take pride in our home and aim to provide all guests with a 5-star experience, as do the wonderful cleaners who ensure the house is ready for each guest. Please know that the house is subject to ordinary wear and tear (just like any other home), but that we always do our best to quickly and effectively respond to any significant issues or concerns.
