Oasis Getaway in Gilbert AZ Perfect for the family

Large family dream vacation! Beautiful pool (optional $110-$140 extra per day to heat, minimum 3 days, usually needed October-April. Discount can be applied by agreeing to put on pool cover each evening after use. (takes 2-3 minutes). October, November, March, April $110/day; December, January $120/day.)

We are close to downtown Gilbert and its incredible restaurants, with easy freeway access to Scottsdale, Mesa, Tempe and Phoenix. Freestone park with tennis, basketball, volleyball and rides is 1 mile away. You’ll love our backyard oasis with a pool, hot tub, sunken trampoline, zipline, sportcourt, firepit, putting green, hammock, trees and grass for games. Inside enjoy large open spaces and gathering areas, including an indoor gym and a basement with a projector and ping pong.

Bedroom 5 with the Murphy queen bed and twin, also acts as our game room. With a ping pong table and projector with large sectional to watch movies.

We have a separate VRBO on the property. We turned our Attic into a rental 4 years back. They have no access to the back yard. There are no windows upstairs to the backyard, only to the front yard and East side so there is no visibility into the backyard. They have their own private driveway on the opposite side of the property with their own external staircase to the upstairs apartment. It’s no different than a next door neighbor. Literally zero interaction.

Flood irrigation no longer impacts the use of the backyard grass. We installed a sprinkler system and burms to keep the water just to the back trees.

Guest must sign a Release & Waiver of Liability and Indemnity Agreement prior to arrival.

Great stay!

We really enjoyed our time in Gilbert. The home is super close to anything and everything you need. The backyard is amazing and our kids loved every minute of it!

Amazing getaway

First of all, the hosts are fantastic…very responsive. The backyard is better than described. We spent EVERY day in the pool. The zip line, trampoline, putting course, and hoops area were bonuses…as was the movie theater in the basement. We will be back!

Too much fun!

We had our volleyball team stay here during a tournament and they loved the space and had too much fun with the backyard. What a great family friendly place. We also enjoyed the big kitchen table so everyone could sit down and eat together.

Hotel Snob Really 4.75 - But I would stay again!

While my rating gave a 5 star - I would rather it was a 4.75. There were several things on the property that needed fixed. I did let the owners know and they said they would get right to it. It does say for a heated pool it would be an extra fee. At the price we paid, I really feel it should have been included. Not to anyones fault, it was cold and rainy the entire time we were there so it was a waste of money for us to have it heated. We did pick fresh fruit and ate it., a complete bonus. There is tons of room and worked great for our large family. It is nice you can section off the house with pocket doors if you need to make things quieter at different times of the day. The sunken family room is nice, however for older people they don't see the floor heights. and my parents were constantly trying to figure out the floor. It would be nice if a nightlight was put at each of the steps. Tons of stuff to do in the backyard. A true kids delight - especially if they are about 10. My teenagers enjoyed the basketball court - in between rain showers. My 20 year olds enjoyed the garage gym. My parents enjoyed the giant kitchen table to play cards at for hours. Overall we had a great time. The family responds quickly to text messages. The .25 knock off points for me is really the items that need fixed and the fee for the pool - which was stated - I just didn't like it. Overall, I would stay again. It was clean. The beds were comfy - every single person said their bed was great. Having other guests on the property really isn't a problem, however it is kinda weird to hear the upstairs guests when you least expect it. We never saw or met the other guests, just heard them at night. Also, you are requested to read the property instructions - you should do this ASAP. Might help you out. Full disclosure - I rarely give 5 stars - I am a Hotel Snob, so take it for what that is worth.

Great house, however

We had a great time staying at this house. The backyard is big with plenty to do and the house itself is nice and big with lots of space. They also included games and stuff for outside which is nice. The owners are also very responsive which is helpful if you need to get in contact for the pool or anything. I spoke with Erik a couple times and he was very nice. A couple things we didn’t know going into it… they have a separate air bnb they rent out upstairs so that whole area is occupied with random guests. They also have a big driveway to park a lot of cars, but durning the stay we noticed people driving by checking on us and the house. The neighbors don’t like when you park on the street so we were constantly having to move cars and play Tetris in the driveway, even though their neighbor to the left has a huge trailer parked on the street. We were also told by the end of our stay that their maids found throw up in the master shower and we should probably make that right. My husband and I showered the night before we left and there was no throw up so we were very confused by this. All in all, it’s a great house with a fun backyard for a lot of people, but if you don’t feel like being monitored 24/7 then it might not be the best fit.

Beautiful home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Erik & Bridget’s place. The history of the home was very sweet as well. Erik was super responsive to any questions we had and it made for a fabulous and memorable weekend.

Everything a family could need.

Absolutely loved!

Me & my husband wanted to book a trip with our children and this was the perfect place! We have an 8 year old, 2 year old and 6 month old. The 8 year old and 2 year old loved the pool and back yard. We loved that the pool was securely gated so they couldn’t get in without one of the adults. Our 6 month old was able to find shade to sit under because of the large amount of trees. We loved that there was shade but also that the pool was positioned to be able to get sun and a tan while swimming! The house is in the cutest neighbored and close enough to walk (about 1 mile) to get some coffee and other items. We would definitely recommend and hope to return!

Multiple Family Fun!

This place is perfect for outdoor family fun! We had 3 families combined...6 adults and 7 kids (3 @ 16; 2 @ 14; 2 @ 12) and we all had a blast! We took full advantage of the outdoor amenities offered and had plenty of room for us all to prep meals and eat and sleep comfortably! Communicated with Erik almost everyday of our trip and he was very helpful with information and answered all our local questions!

Wonderful for Family Gathering

We had 8 adults and 5 children and we slept very comfortably. The pool was outstanding and the property is huge and beautiful with various fruit trees, trampoline, zipline, firepit, putting greens, ping pong, movie screen. We could not have asked for a better family vacation in a wonderful location (within a half hour of Phoenix and Scottsdale).

Great place

The house was big and we all very comfortable. The backyard was seriously the best. The pool, the zip line the kids all had such a good time. Erik always got back to me quickly if I had a question and was very helpful with restaurant recommendations.

Amazing pool and property

The back yard is amazing, pool, slide, zip line, basketball and mini golf. So much for kids and families to do. The lemon, orange and grapefruit trees were so fun to eat from. The kids made lemonade.

Not the Oasis but suitable.

Our stay wasn't what us older adults would consider totally relaxing. This property included many entertainment activities that were more enjoyable for younger adults or children. We felt, as a group, this was just ok for all of us. This home is older with upgrades but is still needing care. The feel as a whole was like we were living with the owners. Their stuff is everywhere and we only requested their help once but they asked twice to get or put things there during our stay. There were no regular tv stations to watch news or sports, only streaming channels and only 1 tv to accommodate that. We also thought there was hired help to take care of the property but it turns out that the owners try to maintain everything themselves. A list is given of what they want done prior to your departure. ie: dishes placed in dishwasher and turned on, towels placed in washer and turned on, backyard picked up. Something that we didn't expect for vacationers, at least not turning these on. Our thoughts is that the costs aren't necessarily worth the stay. Many micromanaging points in their instructions book during your stay.
