My recent stay at this hotel was disappointing, mainly due to the interactions I had with some of the front-desk staff. When we arrived, the employee at the front Philip made us feel uncomfortable. His attitude toward us felt unfriendly, and at times, it came across as discriminatory based on how he spoke to us and how closely he watched our conversations with others in the lobby area. It felt intrusive and made it hard to relax.
There was also an African-American woman working at the front who frequently stared at us in a way that made us feel unwelcome, as if we didn’t belong there. While I can’t speak to anyone’s intentions, the overall experience with the front-desk team left us feeling judged and uncomfortable.
In addition, we were only given one room key at check-in and had to request a second one, which was inconvenient.
The food situation could definitely be improved. The options were limited, items weren’t refilled quickly despite the number of guests, and the quality wasn’t great in my opinion.
Overall, the hospitality and dining experience fell short, and I hope the hotel takes steps to improve customer service and make all guests feel comfortable.
