If you enjoy fishing, make full use of the on-site lakes fully stocked with pike and carp – you’ll benefit from a private fishing peg just steps from your front door. Head off site to discover the local area, visiting the traditional pubs and independent shops in Bourne, Spalding, and Stamford (all within 12 miles). Closer to home, the town of Market Deeping (4.5 miles) is known for the Antiques and Craft Centre as well as the Deeping Lakes Nature Reserve – both are great for an afternoon out. Local landmarks include Burghley House, the Gordon Boswell Romany Museum, and Grimsthorpe Castle Park and Gardens (all within 13 miles).

Before entering this welcoming retreat, take a moment to appreciate its peaceful surrounding scenery and chic exterior design of curved, wooden panelling. Head inside and be greeted by a light-filled open-plan living space that combines a lounge/snug with a kitchenette, diner, and sleeping area. Unwind in the lounge space after days of outdoor adventure, sinking into the soft seating to flick on the Smart TV or simply enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. When stomachs rumble, find everything needed in the well-appointed kitchenette to cook up light meals or prepare picnics for the day – enjoy the chef’s work at the table inside or dine alfresco out on the private patio. At the end of each busy day away, retire to the restful double bed which is served by a convenient en-suite shower room. The lounge sofa converts to a double bed, sleeping two additional guests.

The highlight of this charming lodge is its generous outdoor space. Here, guests benefit from a private garden that runs right to the water’s edge and boasts a private fishing peg for keen anglers. Gather at the patio for morning coffees and evening tipples, dine alfresco at the outdoor furniture, and look forward to memorable evenings together in the bubbling hot tub.
