"The Gables was an amazing experience and we will be staying here for all of our trips to UPenn! It was walking distance to campus, Cesar was an amazing host and breakfast both mornings were unique and delicious! Our beautiful room was quiet, comfortable and clean. Highly recommend!"

"It was clean like they said, no TV in bedroom, just living area. No special TV options. If you wanted your car parked in the garage, a 'robot' parks it, not a person. This was not clarified. Got my bill, and the bill had a charge listed three times for parking, for only a one night stay for one car. Very frustrating. The room however was clean, neat, size was ok for a one night stay. It was nice with a small kitchenette to for use. Not sure I will stay there again"

"Room was not available until an hour after check in, lack of proper communication for staff (front desk had to call and text house keeping to get an update, told wrong room at first and had to again wait for a response for the right room). Our family of 5 was staying in the suite we only had 3 towels, no bedding for the sofa bed, the kitchen and bathroom needed better cleaning, the arms of the sofa are badly stained/miscolored, the AC was broken and being on the 8th floor our room remained 77-80...

"Sheets were stained. There were no forks in the cabinet to use. The bathroom was tiny, I'm only 5'4 and when I sat on the toilet my knees were touching the wall. I had to sit sideways on it. The bath cabinet had no door on it. The towel rack was broken. There was one bath towel it was thin and cheap. No wash cloth. No dish soap to do the dishes. Just all around awful. Didn't mention hidden damage fee of $200(what a joke) until I had already booked room. Then you get a welcome email asking for...

"Breakfast was a beautiful touch"

"It was our first time staying here! We loved it! Felt like more of a home than a hotel and we had a ton of space in our room! Microwave with mini fridge is amazing so we could enjoy meals we had more than once! Loved the location and we had a wonderful time! Staff was quick at responding when we had questions! Thank you!"

"Great space, easy access, excellent location, clean and solid."

"This is a perfectly located hotel in Philly. Walking distance to many "must visit" places such as the "Rocky Steps", "Avenue of the Flags", "Philadelphia Museum of Art", "Boathouse Row" and all the parks and public facilities nearby. Great to visit as we did in the fall. Short Uber rides further into town to all the historical and cultural sites in Philly. We found the Uber system to be robust and easy to get around - even for us "first timers". The hotel is on the "industrial side" - but...

"Excellent staff, perfect hospitality and definitely love the hotel’s condition - coming here for years, but always feels fresh and new."

"It was very dark in the hotel. Room layout was unusual with shower window to the rest of the room and door to the toilet was not floor to ceiling and not sound proof at all. Fine for a married couple but not ideal if I were traveling with someone else. Bar area/lounge was very cool. Staff were very good."
