"Great location, waking distance from the train station but in Venice there are steps everywhere and it is not a suitcase friendly city!!! The room had a beautiful view of the channel. The breakfasts were great and worth the $16 EU pp. Depending on your room, there may not be elevator access all the way up. Ours needed stairs and elevator to get to the room. "Lovely location away from the crowds but not so far from Rialto etc. Good quality hotel. Very clean!! Cleaner than many other 5 star hotels I've experienced. Some great food places nearby by the canalside too. Especially the restaurant Very Good. With another travel companion, I would have liked to have tried the hotel restaurant. Would certainly stay here again if staying in Carneggio."

Though they let us check in a little bit earlier, the room we were given was small - you couldn't move without bumping into furniture, and it was very dark. "I really don't understand the positive reviews. The Alloggi Olimpia is "part of" the Hotel Olimpia but really not. There is no lift to room. Once you take the hotel olimpia elevator you have to go down weird back stairs and hallways that stench of trash. It was so bad I felt sick to my stomach walking to and from the room.
