"Plan B" Mid-Mod Patio Living

The Living Desert Patio Home is an oasis in one of the loveliest neighborhoods in South Palm Desert. Gently situated between Ironwood, Silver Spur Ranch and the Living Desert, you will find yourself immersed in tasteful modern architecture and flowing organic landscaping. Our patio home is simple and efficient and has all modern comforts. Our location is surrounded by desert mountains and vistas and allows for wonderful meditative sessions. We love our daily walks and enjoy what our location has to offer. In the evening, get away from it all by traveling to El Paseo's award-winning restaurants and great shopping.

Please note: Guest stay includes gas and electric charges for basic heating and living. However, any high energy use gas for pool and spa heat as well as increased use for electricity in the summer months will be assessed to guest post-stay.

Please be aware of three cameras on property record video and audio for guest safety.

Great Vacation/Work from Home Spot in Palm Desert

Fun mid-century modern aesthetic in this well-stocked and comfortable vacation home, including a quiet, relaxing, and super-private backyard with a pool and spa to enjoy starry evenings. We stayed here about 7 weeks and worked our remote jobs without issue, rotating “office” locations between either end of the dining table and the bedroom. Wonderful, quiet walking neighborhood of interesting homes, a desert-landscaped park, and a nearby botanical garden and zoo (while its summer hours are limited to the morning, in the spring it was possible to stroll over and have a happy hour with the giraffes after work.) The hosts are friendly and responsive. Highly recommend!

Easy month in the desert!

We enjoyed our stay at Walter & Miguel's home. It was the perfect size for 2 of us and our dog. The A/C worked great (CRUCIAL!) and everything was spotless in the house upon arrival. I had only 2 small complaints - one of which I shared with the owners - which was that there wasn't a garbage disposal or a food trap so we had to fish around to empty the kitchen sink after doing dishes in order to prevent clogging... The second was that the living room furniture was different from the photos - it was a lot smaller/mod furniture that just wasn't very comfortable to hang out on... being 7mos pregnant it was really hard to get comfortable anywhere in the living room. Aside from those minor complaints, Miguel was extremely responsive to any questions I had and the house served as a great temporary home for us for 4 weeks!

Walter and Miguel were wonderful hosts and extremely helpful. This property is one of the favorites of the 5 years we have been coming to Palm Springs and Pal Desert. The property is even nicer than the pictures. Thank you so much!

Can't say enough good things!

My husband and I stayed here for a month and we can't say enough good things about the property and the hosts! The home was perfectly clean, stylish, well appointed, and had many thoughtful touches. Walter met us there and walked us through everything we needed to know. He was available and attentive throughout our stay. We both were working remotely for most of the month, and the internet connection was great. When we shut down our computers for the day, the relaxing surroundings made it easy to switch to vacation mode. The bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed the wood burning fireplace on chillier nights, but the weather was beautiful and warm for most of our trip with plenty of time to enjoy the private pool and spa! We loved seeing hummingbirds in the backyard everyday. The neighborhood was lovely and quiet. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

Lovely Oasis in Palm Desert.

This property is well appointed, clean, quiet and perfect for a Desert getaway. Everything is well kept and as advertised or better. The spa /pool, heat /AC all work great. The hosts are very gracious, took us through a complete, in-person walk through, and were very responsive and available. The location is perfect, next to the Living Zoo, El Paseo, etc. We would highly recommend this property, and will gladly be back to visit again! Shereen and Lynne.
