"We stayed in an ocean view unit at the front of the property and for the price it was fantastic. Short walk to restaurants and shops. Our room was small, but clean. There are larger rooms, but we intentionally chose room 7, I think, for more privacy than the other units. The furnishings and room in general has “tired” decor so if you’re looking for modern and updated this isn’t for you. If you’re looking for a great stay on a budget this should fit your needs and price point. "

"We tried booking beachfront hotels but when we saw this place, we instantly knew that it will offer us better accommodation. The view was spectacular from the room. The area was quiet the place feels like home. Very comfortable and to top it off, the delicious homemade breakfast by the owners. They were very accommodating and entertaining at the same time. It was our first time in Paihia and it did not disappoint us. Will definitely book this accommodation on our next visit."

"Our experience with ‘Moongate villa’ was disappointing because on our 2nd day, some building works began next door which woke us up at 8.00am in the morning and the cement pouring and flattening machines started working. It’s no exaggeration to say that the whole of our building vibrated to the machines being used. As for the noise all of this created, it was horrendous! The owners of ‘Moongate villa’ agreed to give us 1 x night free of charge. Please confirm that you can refund us this back...
