Resort cottage with water views in Maine

Private cottage located on seven and a half acres with all the amenities for a fantastic getaway near the beach with water views. The property is bordering the nationally acclaimed Rachael Carson Wildlife Sanctuary. We offer a fully equipped kitchen with a 30" freestanding electric range, large bathroom with tub and shower, very large bedroom with two full-size beds. An enclosed seasonal porch that opens up into the sitting room which can be closed off for more privacy or left open to offer more space. Three smart televisions, and WI-FI access. AC/heat in all of the rooms. Outside a private gas grill, picnic table, and chairs are available for you to enjoy. Our resort offers you a large, heated pool and spa. There are two children's play areas. There is also a basketball court, bocce court, and horseshoes for your enjoyment. No smoking of any kind allowed inside the cottage. A laundry matt and a library are located on the property. No blankets, bedspreads, comforters, or throw pillows are included. Guest must provide all their own linens, towels, and bedding including sheets, pillowcases, blankets, towels, and washcloths. Parking for two cars. We are within walking distance to restaurants and grocery stores. It is also within biking and walking distance to the harbor and beach.

The cottage is very cute and as described. There are no views and the requirement to both put on the linens supplied by the motel and strip the beds was an unpleasant work requirement. The motel reception was closed as I came in about 2:30 and the room was ready and I was hoping to make the two beds. I saw the receptionist but she was busy and said she'd be back in 30 minutes. I needed to use a toilet...none were available. So I went to Dunkin Donuts, because she suggested going off to the right.Although there was a family with four teen kids and a dog in the cottage next to us ... They were fine neighbors for the night.Sorry to leave a somewhat negative review, but with the no refund policy, check it out before signing up.

We enjoyed our night in the cottage. It had everything we needed and was very comfortable. You do need to bring your own sheets, blankets, and towels, but since we drove that wasn’t a problem.

This is our second time staying at this property. The cottage was wonderful and just as clean as last year my kids had a blast at the pool and the small park that is located on the property. Everybody was friendly and will be coming back next year for our July vacation.

This place is obviously well cared for. Though originally a 1940’s or ‘50’s cabin within this motel complex, it has been updated with care while some original features remain. Such as, Bead board ceiling and some knotty pine walls and doors. However, amenities are all modern and convenient, complete with thoughtful touches that made our stay very pleasant. We would go back!

We have been renting cottages in the Wells and Ogunquit area for many years. This cottage was, without a doubt, the the most comfortable and best equipped one we have ever rented. The owner has thought of everything+. The only thing that wasn’t perfect for us was one of the double beds. It was tight against the wall and too heavy to move it out to make it properly. We are seniors, so perhaps it’s easier for younger people. Not a problem though, we worked around it. Kudos to Mary Lou for taking the time to place very clear instructions about a number of things, including the three televisions. She was also very quick to answer any questions we had. A thoroughly enjoyable and cozy place to stay. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay. It was just what we needed. Everything was very clean, had all the necessary amenities, and is in a great location. I would suggest replacing one of the mattresses, it was quite uncomfortable. I changed beds & made my kid sleep on it for the rest of our stay :) We will be happy to return!

My wife and I absolutely loved our stay. The cottage was very clean and well equipped with all the necessary kitchen utensils. The beds were very comfortable. All. the rooms had air-conditioners. The porch was wonderful, we spend most of our time playing board games in the evening. We're definitely making plans to return next year.

We really enjoyed our stay and will be back next year. The cottage was small but had all the amenities that we needed and honestly we didn't need much as we were out and about for much of our stay. our kids (6 and 4 yo) really enjoyed the pirate ship playground and the swings! The property/ cottage was very clean! the only negative things I would have to say is one of our beds was fairly uncomfortable, and the listing should maybe include the name of the resort as we had a hard time figuring out which place to go to.
