I gave three stars because the room and bed were amazing. The rest of the property needs updating. The community bathroom was broken. All amenities were across the street at a sister hotel. If I wanted to the amenities across the street I would’ve stayed there. Who wants to walk across the street to get breakfast? The jacuzzi jets were broken and it was barely warm and the cool dip was boarded up. Breakfast was horrible. Oreo yogurt, really? Eggs were inedible.

I arrived earlier than check-in and called to ask if we could leave our bags at the Inn before check-in so that we could walk around the town. The staff member who answered the phone scoffed and repeated the check-in time to me. There was no visible staff at the Inn--they are based at the sister institution across the road. Likewise, breakfast was at that Inn diagonally across the road which does not sound like much of an inconvenience but the fact it was raining made it a mild negative (umbrellas were available). Some people may appreciate the breakfast but we found the square onion "quiche-like" warm offering undersalted and unappetizing. We were in the "Luxury Room" which was excellent but perhaps a bit overpriced.

Perfect location, great stay & good breakfast in the morning. I went with my husband and our 8 month old and 3 year old. Just a heads up if you book through Expedia it doesn’t say no kids BUT when I was there a staff member told me kids younger than 4 are not allowed here. So that was awkward but what can you do, not my fault! Other than that- great experience.

After a small mix up with our room, which can happen anywhere, Abby, the property manager, worked swiftly to fix the issue. She was responsive to our texts and concerns, and handled it swiftly with kindness and professionalism, and was just incredibly sweet. The Inn was beautiful and had a lot of charm and character. The room (#4) was clean, adorable, and spacious. There was coffee, water, ice, tea, cocoa, and cakes/treats offered each day across the street at their sister resort, which was also adorable. The access to the Marginal Way was a matter of crossing g the street and a 5 minute walk, and access to Ogunquit Beach and the village of OGT was directly across the street.Perfection! Will be back again!

The room was clean, wonderfully decorated, and the breakfast served every morning was delicious! I especially enjoyed the 24/7 coffee/tea bar.

Lovely place, clean, great staff, nice breakfast, convenient to walking Marginal Way and Ogunquit Beach. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Loved our time at Inn on Shore Road.

The Inn had a warm and comfortable atmosphere with a good feel for the old and new. Our room accommodates was very comfortable, perfect for two sisters seeing Maine the first time.

I wanted to resolve this before posting a review but management never replied. I emailed the Inn (7) times since 8/23 and called (4) times. Each time, they said someone would get in touch; they didn't. There were several significant issues with Room 9 where I stayed. ~ Upon opening the door, I was hit with a strong musty smell. I had to leave the bathroom window open and the AC running continuously. Unfortunately, that left the room fairly humid ~ The only two chairs in the room both badly stained and looked gross, as if someone had urinated in the chairs ~ Two hooks, and an exposed nail at eye level remained in the places where paintings were removed, which added to the unkempt appearance of the room. The exposed nail is also dangerous ~ There are several mold spots on the shower ceiling ~ There is mold or mildew in the shower grout ~ The fan in the bathroom rattles loudly ~ The sink dripped constantly ~ The door to my room sticks and is difficult to open ~ The back door to the main house is also very difficult to open ~ There was a chunk of flesh in the shower I asked to switch rooms but none were available. Staff were nice but management didn't care.

So the room was $400 per night and it was not a good experience. Our room was so small we kept hitting our heads while in bed on the wall because it slanted towards us. Really needs to be renovated. The shower was the size of a small person to fit inside. The rugs on the 3rd floor which we had to drag our luggage up were disgusting. The entire place was vacant so why put us in this tiny room that a 5'10 person cant fit in
