  • Oceanfront serenity awaits the two of you at Ocean Wind Retreat, a very romantic getaway spot for 2. Sauna and 4-person size soaking tub with ocean view. Dog friendly, yard off deck, view of the light house, queen bed, TV and WIFI. There is a full bath with a tub/shower combination. The front room has a kitchenette: fridge, coffee maker, micro-wave, toaster, electric wok (there is no oven or range) and utensils. A gas Cuisinart BBQ is available for private use by the deck on the ocean side of the front yard.

    The front room has a Captains Bed perched high to optimize comfort and the scenery outdoors. Step outside to a spacious oceanfront deck and yard, or seek out the path overlooking the beach with love seat and complete privacy. A large indoor soaking tub, beautifully tiled, with ocean view and an indoor sauna add to the rest and relaxation of this wonderful retreat! The bedroom: queen bed, open closet, dresser, TV and "fire" light for ambience, has a view of the light house. Host provides flowers and gift basket free of charge.

    A favorite vacation, birthday and honeymoon spot. Located at the South end of Nye Beach in Newport, OR, just next door to Georgie's Beach side grill for scrumptious dining. Enjoy the Newport Performing Arts Center, many area restaurants, art galleries, wine tasting and several music venues. Less than 3 minutes to the Newport Bayfront, Hatfield Marine Science Center or the Oregon Coast Aquarium. Walking distance to two parks.

    This apartment is on the ground floor, with a permanent residence above where the host/owner is available if needed. A wonderful location for the artist, writer, editor or anyone just seeking quiet solitude for inspiration. Please adhere to the policy of No Smoking. One dog is allowed; call owner regarding extra pet.

This place was better than advertised! Perfect view of the beach framed by trees from the kitchen window. The hot tub was amazing! All the personal touches and beautiful decor made the stay even more enjoyable. The location is incredible. This place is a gem and we will be back!

Jeanne is a wonderful host very kind woman every time I come back to Newport. This is the place I’m going to stay. You have easy access to the beach and the stairs are wonderful especially for us older women who need to keep our toes a little tighter every now and then there’s a playground right next to us as well so it’s highly recommended.

Great place! Charming, quiet, cozy, clean, very comfortable bed! Stairway to the beach right outside the gate. 7 minute walk to Nye Beach hub for dining; and there is a very good restaurant right next door too.

Truly relaxing location for a couple and a dog! Jeannie provides extras, too, like dog treats, dog bowl, wine and people treats, and fresh flowers!! We loved our stay.

Perfect location to explore Oregon coast.

My wife and I stayed here for a week and everything was perfect. Home was clean and well cared for, host was attentive and communicative, and the location cannot be beat. Highly recommended!

Our stay was perfect. Jeannie is an amazing Host! She went above and beyond to make Bunny and I feel at home. Including welcome treats for us both! She was always ready with recommendations or suggestions when asked, but also gave us privacy. We loved the cozy space, the sauna and the super comfortable bed. And you cannot beat the view (stunning!) or proximity to the beach. I would 100% recommend this home, the location and the host! Will definitely return!

The property is very well located, with convenient access to Nye Beach and the bayfront.The hot tub and sauna were very nice after spending the day on the beach.The kitchen is pretty limited, but other than that, a very nice property.

Fantastic location, great amenities

Ocean Wind Retreat would be great just on the basis of its location and its fantastic views of the waves rolling in, but Jeannie's little touches elevated our stay, from the art on the walls to the welcome basket and the clear communication about checking. We're hoping to stay here again next year.

Great stay at wonderful home

The location was perfect and the ocean views were amazing. My wife and I enjoyed a wonder 3 nights. The sauna was a great bonus on those cool nights.
