You can bum, bum, bum around in your tee shirt, board shorts and flip flops at the Beach Bum-Galow in Newport, Oregon! This cozy two bedroom, one bath flat, with fun décor and a beachy vibe, is the lower level of a duplex nestled in beautiful pines and a quiet neighborhood. One bedroom has a king bed and a television for late night movie watching. The second bedroom has a comfy queen bed. They both share a full bathroom in the hall. With a spacious open concept living area and a kitchen that's ready for cooking, Beach Bum-Galow has everything you need to enjoy a relaxing vacation. On a stormy day, curl up and watch TV or enjoy the free WiFi! There are views of the ocean from the living room and the front porch. Located near a great spot to learn how to surf, you can bring your surfboard and be totally gnarly in the surf, sand and sea. Just a short walk to a neighborhood beach access and you can enjoy the beach vibe all day long!

Plan to enjoy the local microbrews, the fresh catch of the day, a dungeness crab, or your own homemade picnic on the beach. This is the perfect starting point for many days of exploring Newport and the central Oregon coast.

Sleeps up to 6 - 2 Bedrooms,1 King (can be split into 2 twins with 72 hours advance notice), 1 Queen, 1 Full Sofa Sleeper, 1 Bath.
Vehicles: Licensed for 2 (Strictly enforced)
Standard: 2 night minimum; Summer & Holidays: 3-4 night minimum.​​​​​​​

Age Requirement: The primary registered guest must be at least 26 years of age. The majority of guests must be over 25, or children under adult supervision.
*Each home is individually owned. Amenities and furnishings are subject to change at any time. Please contact our office with any questions.

This home does not allow cat guests or other non-human, non-canine visitors. Dogs are welcome at this home but must be registered in advance and paid prior to arrival. This home has a 1 dog maximum occupancy! Pet Guests: One time $35+tax fee. Pet fees are not included in the original reservation.

Had a great time at the property! The king bed was not very comfortable but everything else was perfect! We loved the hot tub and the view! We even saw a whale on our first day! Will definitely come back.

The rental was very nice. The foam topper on the king bed was way too soft but easy to roll off and store until the end of our stay. The dishwasher had no power. The property manager was very available and explained it had died and replacement would be sometime after we left, and granted us a 10% credit for the inconvenience. There was a bit of a view of the water which was very enjoyable. Location convenient for shopping and access to the beach and 101. Recommend highly - especially once the DW replaced!

My friends and I took a moms trip to Newport and stayed in this lovely home for our weekend trip! It had such lovely views, a relaxing and clean hot tub, and everything we needed for a lovely weekend. The home was very clean, well stocked with appliances and other kitchen items, had lots of towels and extra sheets, very comfy beds, and lots of comfy seating. It would be great for a family trip as well but was wonderful for a friends getaway!

Great location. Close to everything we usually do. You can, in fact, see the ocean from the ground floor flat and the hot tub was very clean. I had planned to sleep on the sofa. It was very old and uncomfortable. So that was difficult. Dishwasher was broken and the bathroom sink was clogged, but they did send a note about the dishwasher.

Perfect quaint beach getaway

This cute little apartment like space is perfect for a getaway weekend! Loved everything about it…except maybe the living room furniture. It wasn’t super comfy, which was probably ok- because it made us get out and go walk on the beach!

The view advertised must have been from the upper portion of the house. The hot tub was unuseable for the first day. The sheets were dirty there was a cutting board ( difficult to locate. and required washing before we could sleep on them.

We absolutely loved our stay in Newport! The location was great, house was clean and comfortable, and the hot tub was wonderful. We arrived after dark, so it was a little difficult to find, but once we made it we had no problem finding it after our further daily adventures. I would highly recommend this rental!

Weekend Getaway

The house is very cute and view of the ocean is beautiful. There were lots of little flies in the house which were a little bothersome. I looked for a fly swatter but couldn't find one. Thank you for having a coffee pot...that is a main staple in my morning routine. Everything was comfortable and cozy. One kitchen cabinet door next to the oven is coming off the hinge (just FYI). We ended up not bringing the dog, not sure if the cost can be adjusted. Thank you for hosting us. We had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed the house!

Comfortable home with nice views

Check in was very easy, though the cleaning crew was not finished by check in time so we explored the neighborhood for 15 minutes while waiting. The only issue we encountered during the stay was the kitchen sink was clogged. The unit itself is on the bottom floor, spacious and has a great hot tub with a view of the Pacific. I was under the impression that it was within walking distance of beach access, but it is not. It’s a short drive to the beaches, but the parking can be challenging. Overall, it’s a nice house and we would stay again.

great place to stay

loved the house, it was very clean and everything worked! hot tub was easy to use and so we did, every single night! kitchen had everything we needed. great view! the neighborhood did not have the best streets (gravel) but other than that it was fabulouse!
