"This is an excellent property with caring owners. The rooms are well-appointed, parking is a dream, there is a great park and the river nearby. Marty and Tiff run the property semi-remotely, which actually works very well! Very responsive to requests and attentive to their guests needs. Scones from the cafe in town were a nice addition. Be sure to ask for daily room cleaning if you want it, try the lounge—which has a very good whiskey collection—and just enjoy!"

"The Charmant Hotel was amazing. We had an incredible stay. I’ve always wanted to stay at this hotel and finally got to stay there. We were greeted upon arrival with the choice of a handmade chocolate for each of us and then we went up to our room. It was beautifully furnished and had a gorgeous view of the Mississippi river. We would definitely stay here again."

"Nice place for a reasonable price. I am particularly sensitive to when hotel rooms feel damp during heat waves. And this one definitely did not. Breakfast was good and staff was nice and professional."

"The hotel has a great restaurant/bar with wonderful staff. The location of the restaurant is great unless there something going on next door at the civic center(or whatever it is) then it’s very difficult to find a parking spot at the hotel because everyone going to the event parks at the hotel! There’s construction going on right now to the entrance and the whole hotel is definitely getting “long in the tooth!”"

"The staff was great but our check was not. I have a 6 foot 3 wheelchair man. Booked a wheelchair room but couldn’t get him in the bathroom it only had a bathtub. They changed rooms that accommodated us but the soap stuff was across from the wheelchair seat. We went to use the shower handle and it fell off the wall. It was not fixed for our stay. We booked 2 rooms the other room had other guests staying in it already. We checked in at 4pm had to go to a wedding rehearsal at 5. We had hoped to...

"The parking was sufficient and the property felt safe and clean. There were a couple of times where I went to the front desk, during business hours, and didn’t see anyone around. The shower pressure was also pretty bad."

"Upon arrival, check in was very pleasant and efficient. Room was clean, spacious and the king bed was comfortable. The staff was great at registration, Lumber Jack’s saloon and throughout the hotel. The pool (indoor with swim out to outdoor) and hot tub were both very nice. The outdoor lounge area for the pool and Lumber Jack’s were both nice. The breakfast was very good in a well presented and clean environment."

"The room was spotless. The breakfast buffet was great. I particularly enjoyed learning about the gizmo that makes pancakes; although, I was assuming there would b a waffle iron. Still, the pancakes were yummy and the appliance novel. Lovely hotel. Oh, one thing: the shower was very slippery. May want to consider retrofitting them through out the hotel w those abrasive-like strips that stick to the floor of the shower. Regardless of age, anyone could slip and fall. Regards"

"Everyone always looks for the least expensive room. Quit being cheap, spend the extra $20 and get the premier room. It gives you the bedroom plus a living room, lets you feel more comfortable almost like home."
