"The room wasn’t big or fancy, but we didn't need big or fancy. We needed a good night's sleep and a welcome from a brilliant human. We got both, and Fran was a multi-tasking, dart-offering smiley force of happiness, which I really neded. We visited Kirkby Stephen for sad reasons, but we left with a smile. "

"The pub is situated in peaceful countryside and is in a great location. The proprietors were so welcoming and kind, helping me to my room with my luggage. My room was comfortable, nicely decorated and the bathroom clean with nice toiletries. The food in the pub was good, and the service was friendly and efficient. "I had a wonderful overnight stay here. The room was lovely, ver quiet with beautiful views and a very comfortable bed. I did use the spa which was at extra cost but it was lovely and relaxing. I opted for the fine dining in the evening and it was outstanding. Breakfast was included and the menu had plenty of options from continental to freshly prepared hot options.The staff were very helpful and friendly- I will certainly rebut for a longer visit. "
