  • Sandy Shores II 310 is a two-bedroom, one-bath second row condo located 0.8 miles north of the Garden City Pier. This condo features a fully-equipped kitchen complete with stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher and microwave, as well as a private balcony, stackable washer and dryer, central heat and air conditioning, and ceiling fans. A TV and Wi-Fi is also provided. Sleeping accommodations include two queen-sized beds. One bedroom is a loft. Common area features a full-sized swimming pool, outdoor shower, and professionally landscaped grounds. This is an ocean view complex located across the street from the beach. Limit one parking pass per unit. Elevator. Trailers and golf carts are not permitted at this property. No smoking. No pets. Maximum occupancy: 4

    Conveniently located close to some of the best area attractions, Garden City Beach is directly south of Surfside Beach and ends on a peninsula at the mouth of Murrells Inlet. One of the most renowned attractions in Garden City Beach is the Pier at Garden City. Other points of interest include Marlin Quay Marina and restaurants Sara J's Seafood Restaurant, Gulfstream Cafe, and Original Sam's Corner.

    Just south of Garden City Beach is Murrells Inlet, a seaside community considered the "Seafood Capital of South Carolina" and home to some of the nation's best golf courses. Once primarily a fishing village, the town is best known for the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk, a half-mile-long boardwalk overlooking a pristine salt marsh, and the many award-winning restaurants along Highway 17 Business in the central business district.

    Brookgreen Gardens, a sculpture garden and wildlife preserve built on four former rice plantations, is located slightly south of the MarshWalk. It features several themed gardens with American figurative sculptures, trails through several nature reserve ecosystems, and the Lowcountry Zoo.

    If you're looking for places to shop, The Market Common, Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Landing, two Tanger shopping outlets, Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade, and many more shopping facilities are all within an easy drive from Garden City Beach.

    Looking for entertainment and attractions? Take in a show at Pirates Voyage, Medieval Times, Alabama Theater, The Carolina Opry, or Legends in Concert. Then visit SkyWheel Myrtle Beach, Ripley's Aquarium, WonderWorks, Ripley's Believe It Or Not Odditorium, Hollywood Wax Museum Entertainment Center, and The Pavilion Nostalgia Park.

    Other points of interest close by include the waterfront community of Georgetown, the third oldest city in South Carolina and the second largest seaport in South Carolina, and historic Conway, with its downtown Riverwalk area nestled on the banks of the Waccamaw River. Both towns include fine dining, shopping, and historic sites.

    Take a day trip to Charleston to experience shopping, a harbor cruise, a city carriage tour, or a plantation tour. Charleston is only 87 miles from Garden City Beach - approximately two hours. It's a picturesque and exquisitely preserved southern city with antebellum architecture, cobblestone streets, and historical landmarks.

Great Location, Needs Deep Clean

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was clear when we arrived linens were dropped and nothing was cleaned. Kitchen counter had sand on it, big hair ball on side of shower stall, fridge covered in hand prints and grease, crumbs all over floor in kitchen and dining table, coffee table top dirty and yes to top it off a fake eye lash onnightstand. I called and immediately sent "best cleaning person." I came back with Lysol cleaner cause hey the place was not cleaned and I don't want to be sick on Vacation. We came back to only the floors swept. Everything else the same. Upon looking further there was crud going up steps on side of carpets and just general filth from walls not being wiped down. I won't be renting from this company again.

The condo pool was great. We loved how we can cook at thr condo and do laundry. We loved all the decor ! Definitely would book again this condo.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were in town for my son’s baseball tournament and wanted to be closer to the beach, so this was a perfect location for that. My son also has bad allergies and the lack of cleaning and just overall dinginess made it hard for us to enjoy it. If it wasn’t for being gone most of the time for baseball, we would not have been able to stay here.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay at this condo for a nice long MDW! It is located between the Surfside and Garden City pier. The condo is spacious and comfortable. Only a few things for improvement- the kitchen could use a pizza cutter and tongs. As much as I loved the patio set up, the chair height truly is a liability esp if little kids are present. Other than the few things, it was a wonderful and clean stay. Bring your regular coffee for the coffee maker- no K cups. (I couldn't locate this info prior to stay)

Online Pics Don't Always Reflect an Accurate Depiction

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I stayed there for the months of Feb & March 2023. We left 2 weeks early and these are the reasons why. The mattresses in both bedrooms are very uncomfortable. They appear to be very cheap and without much support. We both had very poor sleeps and woke with a sore back all the time. The living room sofabed appears to be very old and did not provide any support when sat in. You actually went so far into the couch it was very difficult to get out of. We had maintenance come (who btw went above and beyond to try and help out as much as they could) and they inserted two pieces of plywood under the cushions to help with support and comfort. The living room tv would not accept HDMI inputs so therefore we were unable to access our streaming stick. We were able to get the tv in the loft to work with the stick but that meant we had to go up a flight of stairs which was difficult due to mobility issues. In regards to the fully stocked kitchen the ads make reference to we found that to be very lacking. The frying pans were so old and scratched they were unusable (we have pics). There was not even the basics like a can opener or kettle. Housekeeping did bring us a new kettle and pots/pans which we appreciated. The throw pillows in the living room were very stained. Unfortunately the owners were unwilling to spend any money to upgrade and/or fix any of our concerns. When we first arrived the cable tv modem and router where on the kitchen table and there was no where else to put them. Maintenance did however bring a plastic shelving unit that was suitable to put all the electronics on so we could use the kitchen table for meals. The bathtub was in much need of refinishing. There was many areas that the acrylic coating had worn off. On a positive note, the washer/dryer worked good. The furnace and A/C worked well. Overall the building condition and cleanliness was good. Based on our overall impression and concerns we would not rent this condo again.

However, neither tv worked the whole time we were there- and the elevator was broken. We have a 9 month old and walking up and down 4 flights of stairs with beach gear and baby was miserable. We still managed to have a good vacation despite these inconveniences though.

Perfect location!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay at SSII 310 was fantastic! There was plenty of space for all of us (2 adults, 2 children) and my children enjoyed having the loft all to themselves. The location was perfect - top floor end unit, less than 2 minute walk to the beach access which is directly across the street, just a short drive to the Garden City Pier/arcades, and it's on a main artery road with direct access to Business 17. Murrells Inlet "restaurant row" is a 15 minute drive and Myrtle is about 20 minutes. The vacuum cleaner and washer/dryer were much needed and we were very glad to have them! We also enjoyed the small pool located on the property. All in all, I would 100% suggest renting. I have a few suggestions for improvement: The master bedroom needs a new mattress - the springs are busted and it was more of a double bed than queen, really need to have a king size bed and be situated in front of the window to maximize space in the room. The one shower/tub needs to be replaced as the paint was peeling/chipping so baths for the children were not possible. The upstairs loft area and attic space that has the twin bed was extremely warm compared to the downstairs. It would be good to have a stand up fan to help circulate the air especially in the attic room as turning the temp down made it freezing downstairs. With that also, I would suggest new vent coverings downstairs as they were all rusted and would not close and the air blew directly on you in the bathroom and on the couch in the living room. We could not get the cable to work on either of the 2 tvs and the living room tv did not work properly even when we plugged in the ROKU we brought with us. Though we didn't have a lot of time to watch tv, it would have been nice to watch the downstairs tv during breakfast and in the evenings before bed. Outdoor furniture was ok, but should be table height for safety purposes.

There was some construction going on and we had to have some painting done while on our stay, but it didn't interrupt much of our day.
