This traditional oceanfront cottage is located in Atlantic Beach and offers lots of space. Ground level apartment offers 1 bedroom, 1 full bath, separate living area and kitchen. The main living area, kitchen, half bath, 1 bedroom and 2 shower rooms are located on the 2nd level. Principal bedroom, 2 full baths, 1 half bath and 2 bedrooms are located on the top floor.

All rates are subject to a departure cleaning, linen and reservation fee, 12.75% sales tax and a $79.00 Vacation Rental Damage Protection Plan. All fees and taxes are subject to change without notice.

We rent to family groups, married couples, or mature adults over the age of 25. We do not, under any circumstances, rent to groups for proms, graduations, college house parties, etc. Misrepresentation will result in immediate eviction without refund.

All prices and/or descriptions are subject to change. Although every precaution is taken, errors in prices and/or descriptions do occur on our web site and in printing. We reserve the right to correct any such error.

1. Damage Protection Insurance – For an additional $79.00, this plan covers up to $3,000 in unintentional damages to the rental unit that may occur during your stay. Report the damage to us, we’ll take care of the rest!
2. Security Deposit - $1,500 is immediately charged at time of booking. If the property is left undamaged, keys & parking passes returned, your security deposit will be refunded within 45 days after check out.

Second rime in this amazing house. It was cool to see what changed (updated bathrooms upstairs & massive sectional in the livingroom), and whaat did not (overall atmosphere and charm)There were 11 of us ranging in ages from 3 to 63. This house has so much room that it never felt crowded, yet it's set up so that we could all have meals together. The beach is just a walkway over the dune from the house.

Beach trip

Trip was great, the house is beautiful. The second to last day had remnants of a hurricane come through and some of the basement/first floor was flooded, unfortunately. The top two floors were fine but the part of our group that was in the basement decided to leave early and later in the day, we did too. I'd totally stay at the property again, but only use the top two floors. My main complaint is we're 20 days after we checked out of the property, we are still waiting on the return of the security deposit. So if you are strapped for cash and hope to get a large chunk of change back after being back home, you're going to be waiting a bit. They do mention it could take up to 45 days to get the deposit back, and in my experience, that is an extraordinary long time. (This is an indictment on the property management folks, not the homeowner)

A True Gem

We loved everything about our stay at this cottage and couldn’t have asked for more. It’s obviously one of the first built homes on the island and exudes so much character and a warm feel. For it’s age it’s been immaculately maintained and nicer than a lot of the newer places I’ve stayed. It was perfect for my teenage daughter and her friends. They loved having the spacious downstairs living area to sleep and hangout. We’ll definitely be back and stay here on our next trip down.

Terrible! Roaches, dirty, mold, urine smell, broken furniture!

ROACHES AND SO MUCH MORE WRONG WITH THIS HOME! Cannon & Gruber sent pest control however when we called back to say they were now running in the kitchen, living room, bathroom and sleeping area we were told they tend to really come out after treatment b/c they are trying to get away from the chemicals. Needless to say, that did not leave us with a warm and fuzzy feeling. Other issues, live wires sticking out of an outlet. The live terminals were completely exposed. There was a hole in the wall by my bed (we covered with duct tape as I was afraid of roaches coming out of it). Showers had black mold all around the base, shower liners with mildew, broken tile, broken chairs outside on the deck, the sofa was so filthy we had to cover with a blanket, the pull out sofa in the basement had urine stains all over it and many other issues. I also want to make sure you understand that this home does not really have an ocean view. The only room in the home that offers the ocean view is the large bedroom on the top floor. Unless you happened to be in that room you can forget the ocean view. When you sit on the deck you look at the sand dune. For those staying in the basement, be prepared to walk through the garage to enter your bedroom space. It is really dirty as most garages are but I was not thrilled having to go through there every time I went to bed. For others on the first floor, be ready to shower out in the foyer as the showers are located there. I assume they were added so they could advertise the home with more full bathrooms. The floors have been sanded at some point but never sealed so all of the urine from pets is left to soak into the wood. The upstairs bedroom with twin beds had an overwhelming smell of urine. The gate off the deck was so broken when we arrived that we could not let our toddler or dog get close as it was falling in. Half way through our trip we had two guys in the home performing maintenance that should have been handled prior to us arriving. They repaired the gate and put a new outlet in and mudded over the hole and left the rest of items as is. We have travelled quite a bit and are honestly not that picky. The photos make the home appear a little dated but it went way beyond that. This home was dirty, smelled of urine, had roaches and lots of maintenance issues!

Spring Break Getaway

My family stayed at island birds last week. Cannon and Gruber who manage the listing, were phenomenal to deal with. When we first arrived at the house there were nails and construction dust left as they were working on replacing windows. We called and they came out immediately to deal with the situation and everything was taken care of. Couldn’t have been happier with how it was handled. The house is a GREAT location! However, the inside of the house needs some serious work. The bathrooms need to be redone and reconfigured, it could be so nice with a little TLC. However, for an old beach cottage it gave us what we needed.

This house had a great location we greatly enjoyed our stay. The house had several maintenance issues and could use a bit more upkeep but nothing that adversely impacted our stay and the property manager was very responsive to the requests that we made to address some of the potential concerns that could have been more impactful.

Great house and location

The home is in need of a few repairs; some of which seem to be in progress. Even with that, it was a lovely home in a great location, a large covered back deck for sitting and enjoying the sunset was a plus as well.

Old cottage charm

Really neat house with easy beach access, great privacy and a very nice, large porch. Spacious inside and nice sound proof build. No water or beach view from the porch. Beautiful view from upstairs master window but no deck or doors to outside upstairs. Door locks are troublesome and need addressing. Limited showers and baths. We enjoyed our stay.

Peerfect House & Setting for Our Annual Family Vacation

All nine of of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Atlantic Beach. The house was perfect since each family had it's own floor. The view from our upstairs window was spectacular.
