Well, where do I start:
1. Check-in told me to wait 5 minutes to get my room.. I waited for 45 mins… I started eating and finished the lunch I packed and was going to eat in my room!. Was sitting right in front of the front desk, but had to walk back a few times and ask as nobody seemed to be attentive to people waiting for rooms.
2. Toilet had pee from previous guest (or housekeeping!) when I arrived to use my “fresh” room for which I waited in the lobby.
3. My reservation included “free” continental breakfast. When I went to the restaurant, ate a couple of things, had a juice and coffee and got charged for the buffet! Classic bait and switch. The breakfast by the way is something like $20-$25 bucks. Save yourself a stomach ache and eat elsewhere. I brought this up with the manager and front desk and nobody offered to a) remove the charge (how naive am I?), or b) adjust the charge (reduce buffet minus continental rate…)… Restaurant manager made me take pictures are of my reservation in the app and wait… for nothing. A huge waste of time.
4. So the next day I decide to have a coffee in the room. The coffee maker was so disgusting I ended up not having coffee. That thing has not been cleaned in years.
5. Room Safe stopped working mid-stay. At this point I am resigned, checking out next day, so I just want to get out.
In summary, there are thousands of hotels in CDMX. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else. I, for one, won’t stay at this place again.
