"Food was great and bar was well kept. Bed was comfy so comfortable in fact I overslept! Such a good find, not overly pretentious just good quality, helpful staff and good food. Perfect for a business stop over. WiFi was also reliable."

"Beautiful location set back in large park; rooms are in a purpose-built annexe behind pub, so no pass through noise (although pub was generally quiet and very nice, especially the garden); easy parking; short drive to Hepworth Museum; breakfast was delicious; friendly and efficient welcome. Great option for those looking to break up journey between London and Scotland, or just visiting the area."

"Great hotel in a good location. Real milk in the fridge in the room instead of the normal UHT milk which I’ve never seen before and was a bonus. Rooms are really modern and comfortable. We only booked this hotel literally two hours before arriving and rates were decent. We’d definitely stay at this hotel again. Staff were really friendly as well."

"Nice place above a nice bar. Had some food and it was fine and a few drinks. Nice atmosphere and well situated in the town. Room was fine, settee was a bit big for the room but you can see what they are trying to do. Young woman who showed us round was nice and so too the young woman at breakfast."

"Room itself was good, toilet could be a bit bigger, bathroom was good Breakfast wasn’t too great, for example you can not get a typical English breakfast, missing some ingredients like scrambled eggs, tomatoes. Only boiled eggs. Not a lot of options for Vegans/Vegetarians or people on specific diets. Location was good, only 2 blocks away from the Main Street. Close to the shops, restaurants, tram stop. "Modern interiors in an old building. Large car park. Pay extra for a good breakfast and book it/pay as you arrive as it's cheaper than at the time of checking out."

"Impressive building with lovely grounds; however unfortunately our room did not live up to the same standard with wine bottles & beer cans left at the door on entry, along with the odour from the previous guests takeaway. Thankfully the staff were able to accommodate a different room for our stay, but it is worth noting the rooms both shared a rather tired appearance and we left a little deflated bearing in mind the room rate."
