"They downloaded my room type at last minute. They said that the room type was not guaranteed if it was booked through Expedia even it was confirmed by phone 2 weeks ago. Is it true? Instead of apologizing to me for the overbooked, they asked me to cancel the reservation if I don't like. If booking through Expedia has such a limitation, then Expedia should have custom known it."

"The entire hotel decorating is warm, cozy and beautiful. We enjoyed the breakfast and the lounge room with fireplace. I enjoyed reading one of the books in the lounge while I drank coffee and ate a warm biscuit. Maggie was an outstanding hostess. It felt more like a high end bed and breakfast than a hotel. It was a memorable stay. We took photographs of the decorating because we wanted to remember some of the layers of color and texture."

"Rooms are indeed on the small side but if you are a single traveler or just using the room for sleep it's no issue at all, plus the price was far less than surrounding options. It was perfect for myself to attend a show, just needing a place to sleep. Staff were very friendly, area around the hotel very nice, and very close to the subway. All in all very happy"

The issues lie in unpreparedness given how new it is. e.g. For the price point, I would not have expected pounding music above me from the restaurant till past 1am. When I called the front desk to inquire at 10:30pm about the loud bass and music, the response was “Do you need earbuds? Can I have someone send up earbuds?
