The biggest issue for us was the noise. Paper-thin walls and doors that are not soundproof. Windows are well isolated, so you don't hear any noise from the busy street outside, but you can hear everything, all the time inside the hotel. People coming and going on the corridor during the night, children screams, people taking on the adjacent room, door slams and the cleaning staff that starts very early and knocking on your door at 8 AM. Another issue was the heat. The AC didn't work very well and the room was very hot, even with the AC was at max and this was during winter! In the summer the room must be hell. Room size was good. Bed was big, but the mattres was too hard. The room needs urgent refreshing, and a plug on each side of the the bed. Breakfast was below expectations. On the positive side, the hotel is very well localed, with commerce, restaurants and public transport nearby. Staff was very friendly and polite. We will choose a different hotel next time in Madrid.
