"This is a quirky hotel steeped in history which me and my husband loved. On arrival our room was not suitable for our needs, this could have been avioded if i had called head ofour stay. The receptionist and alastair massey were fantastic and offered fantastic alternative room within minutes and this was beyond my expectations as it had a four poster bed and very large. This made our stay so much better and we had a fantastic break. Thank you to all."

"3 nights. Nice clean hotel, lovely helpful staff, room was fine, comfortable double bed, maybe could've done a chair in the room, and there was just about space for one. Breakfast was nice too, good quality bacon and sausages, although somewhat limited choice for a longer stay i.e no fruit, no cakes or croissant etc. Would definitely stay there again if returning to Congleton."

"We enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment. Ideally located for our Alton Towers trip. Lots of nice restaurants in Leek too. Apartment was very comfortable, beds comfy too with crisp white linen and towels. Good instructions for entry. Some more information about bins etc would have been good. WiFi was a bit iffy at times but didn’t hugely impact on us. Connection instructions weren’t correct but we worked it out eventually. Would consider staying again when next visiting Alton Towers. "

"Lovely clean room & very little noise from the pub, which was absolutely rocking, on Saturday night. Helpful & friendly staff (who also sorted the heating for us). My Mum had the ground floor ‘accessible’ room as she has trouble with stairs & that’s AMAZING. It’s a great spot to access the town: love Buxton. Our second time there & will be returning. "

"It was comfortable, quiet and conveniently located for exploring the area. Comfortable beds, everything one needed in the kitchen, big bathroom and large dining/sitting room. Wasn't keen on open plan bedrooms upstairs, where one could see and hear everything that was said and done in the other bedroom."

"Lovely huge room, big comfy bed, fridge in room with a complimentry drink, plenty of tea, coffees & a hot chocolate & biscuits. Warm & cosy with 2 easy chairs. Was cleanish but toilet had bad stains in bottom, skirting boards dirty & not hoovered well, carpet very dirty but winter time & everywhere wet & sludgy, room & bathroom really ready for being decorated looked scruffy.
