The motel was very clean, the staff were extremely polite and helpful and check in couldn’t have been easier. The area around the motel had plenty of casual dining options. " Came to stay here due to location near Shadyside hopsital, where I had surgery the next day. What a beautiful property. Friendly staff, especially our bartender. She was young, but easy to talk to and had knowledge beyond her years. We didnt eat here, so can not attest to that. Beds were confortable. Rooms very large and the interior was like a european hotel. Dark woods with Great history. "

"The hotel is being renovated, so that was going on in parts of the building. This didn't cause any noise or inconvenience, but the lobby and the breakfast area did not seem to be airconditioned, which we assume was connected to the work going on. It was pretty uncomfortable. AC in the room was fine. "Outdoor area was nice. We sat out there in the evening when the temp cooled off a little. Staff was very nice."

"We enjoyed our stay with our two grandchildren. The room, 415, was spacious, clean and comfortable. The front desk staff were friendly and made us feel welcomed. They all seemed to enjoy their job. The housekeeping staff brought us towels and linens that we needed for the pull-out couch. We didn't use the kitchenette except to make coffee which was a surprisingly good tasting cup of coffee. Breakfast was typical with eggs, meat, oatmeal with many toppings, breads, cold cereal and make -your-own...
