Luxurious beachfront retreat on Lake Superior!

  • Enjoy stunning sunrises from the deck or the cozy but spavious living room with a warm beverage while listening to Lake Superior waves lap the shoreline. Located on the east side of the Keweenaw Peninsula, near Houghton and Calumet, this house offers panoramic views of Lake Superior and Big Traverse Bay. The pure white sand beach is more than 100’ deep and more than three miles long.

    The house offers 3 bedrooms of a king, queen and two twin beds, and two full baths, sun room, outdoor shower, deck and lanai with stunning views of Lake Superior. The open concept kitchen, dining, and living room have beautiful morning light with large windows, making it the ideal place for morning coffee and gatherings. The gourmet kitchen is perfect for holiday meals or casual cooking and includes granite counters, Miel dishwasher, Sub-Zero refrigerator, and comes fully stocked with pots, pans, spices, and plenty of cutlery.

    The master bedroom and a large bathroom with walk-in shower and custom live edge vanity are on the main floor with two additional bedrooms and a full bath on the lower level. Unique furnishings and decor highlight the areas natural features and give this house a clean, modern open feel.

    Two kayaks and a stand-up paddleboard are available to enhance your enjoyment of the water. An outdoor fire pit with seating, an outdoor shower, hammocks, and deck furniture are available from May - October. Construction was completed in spring 2023.

    Wildlife such as bald eagles, sand hill cranes, beavers, geese, ducks, and deer are regularly seen. Great blueberry picking in late summer/early fall on the property, nearby public parks and a pick-your-own blueberry farm just a few miles away. Superb fall colors make autumn a beautiful time to visit. The Keweenaw is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts with nearby downhill skiing, miles of cross country skiing, snowmobiling, hiking, world-class mountain biking, fishing, boating, copper mine tours, two national parks, antiquing, hunting, light houses, beaches, spas, kayaking, historical tours, and so much more.

We truly enjoyed our stay! The property is on a pristine sandy beach in a cove making it easy to hop in a kayak or walk out a ways into Lake Superior ( in warmer weather or if you enjoy a cold plunge!)The kitchen had everything we needed. The bedrooms were clean and had a variety of bedding we could use.If all of that doesn’t make you wanna book, the sunrise here will turn anyone into a morning person!

Pictures do not do this property justice! It was the perfect vacation spot to share time with our adult children and their significant others. The home is well stocked with all of the necessary basics. It was clean and comfortable. This might not be the best choice for anyone with mobility issues as there are stairs on all levels. By far this is the best vacation rental we have used.

The pictures do not do this house justice it is even better in person! The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare all of our meals for the week we were there even down to measuring cups and a wide variety of spices. There were three different sitting areas/ living spaces which provided our family of four with plenty of room to spread out and relax when needed. The sunrises were beautiful over the lake. The private beach frontage was the best part. The water has a sandy bottom and stays pretty shallow for a long ways out. Perfect for kids to enjoy the lake. We kayaked and paddle boarded daily.

Our group of 6 had an amazing time! The accommodations were perfect - clean and well equipped! The location is breathtaking, and the owner was just fantastic! Very attentive and even left a little welcome package!! Can’t wait to get back next year!!
