Group travel in La Fortuna

Property is in a gated community with 3 separate bungalows which was perfect for our group of 6 adults. #1 is 2 beds, 2 baths. #2 is 2 beds, 1 bath. #3 is 1 bed, 1 bath. The outdoor space was great and probably our favorite part of the property, even though there was no view of Arenal.There are 2 restaurants within a short walking distance, but town and any stores are a longer walk. It was centrally located to all our excursions. Our only issue was that Google maps took us to a back entrance that was not accessible. Someone local recommended using Wayz as it's more accurate in the area.

Good location

The staff was friendly and very responsive once checked in. The accommodations were great for our large family however the places seemed cheaply put together-cracks in walls/door seams to outside, taped together shower parts, no hot water in shower, etc. Decently clean on arrival however small bugs in main kitchen and just didn’t smell fresh. The houses were minimally stocked with kitchen supplies needed. Overall not horrible but we’d look for a different place next time.

40th Birthday Trip

This trip was to celebrate my 40th Birthday with a group of 6. This location was perfect to accommodate everyone with their own little kitchen and bathroom . The rooms are clean , good size pool and hang out area super cute! The host was very nice and easy to reach. location was gated and extremely safe. The only con I would say is that the neighbors were pretty loud. But overall I enjoyed the stay here. I would definitely recommend for families or couples.

Great for a group of 6+ people

Property is located off main road in a gated community; very close to La Fortuna. The property consists of three separate bungalows. Each bungalow has two bedrooms and full bathrooms. Bungalow #1 has full bathrooms in each room. It also has pull-out bed in the living room/kitchen, but the mattress definitely have seen better days. Ask PM for a blanket if planning of using pull-out bed, since none been provided during our stay. Wasn’t a big deal for us since we didn’t need that bed anyway. Rooms and bathrooms were clean. One of the showers in bungalow #1 run only cold water. Pool was clean. The only negative were loud ACs, which was especially noticeable from bungalow #2. I’d advised to pack earplugs. We didn’t see any monkeys at or near the property, but plenty of birds. Overall, perfect place for the price we paid.

Great for gathering multiple families

6 bedrooms each with a full size bed. Nowhere to put clothing. The kids were thrilled to have their own rooms! Each has a small kitchen and a bathroom and suite 1 has two bathrooms. Each suite has air conditioning, except suite 3’s wasn’t working (might just have needed new batteries in the remote but my son didn’t mind so we never asked). Pros: Enough space for two families. Very clean. Nice pool and the pool was also very clean. There was space outside by the pool to be together and play cards with our friends. Each suite has a refrigerator, stove, and very basic dishes. Not far from la Fortuna. Beautiful hummingbirds! Oscar at the front desk was extremely helpful and always available by WhatsApp text. He recommended our favorite activity of the trip - a chocolate tour at Two Little Monkeys which was Phenomenal! Cons: It’s in a gated development away from the forest. Loud dogs barking next door (not continuously). A couple things could be improved: The bed in suite 2 where we slept was uncomfortable after a couple nights. Could use a new mattress and box spring. There were no hooks to hang wet towels. There weren't any shelves big enough to put clothes or other items on. All in all we were fine with this place!

Exceptional value in the heart of La Fortuna

The location had two bonuses that we were unaware of— the property was actually a part of a gated (with security) neighborhood and it was mych closer to the town of La Fortuna (about 3 minutes) than we expected. Although the “three” separate bungalos had minimal “luxuries” they were all clean, had comfortable beds, individual shower/bathrooms and A/C. The host was excellent and even though we were almost six hours late, she waited for us and met our crew with laughter, understanding and a smile. Travelers should be understanding of the fact that the location is in the middle of the rain forest so expect some intrusion from ants, bugs etc. — but this small inconvenience was minor and manageable, even with young female teenagers. The location is easy to get to, the pool was clean and refreshing, and the three separate kitchens helped each of our groups enjoy there own Breakfast, coffee, and late night snacks.. I don’t think you will find a better location at this incredible price so close to all that La Fortuna has to offer.

Traveling CR with Family and Friends

We are 3 families traveling together. The property was ideal for us with 3 cabinas on the property. It is located very close to everything. Easy walk into town. Wish the number 1 cabins hot water head worked in the shower but, otherwise very nice stay.

Beautiful private area, great for a large group!

We had a group of 13, including a 5, 7 and 9 year old. This place was wonderful. Walking distance to a nice little bakery and 2 grocery stores. And a small stream runs by the property where the kids saw a strawberry poison dart frog 🐸!

Peaceful amazing space

We had a great time at this lovely property, perfect for multiple families to have their own space, pool was super nice, close to town, private and felt safe. The description did not explain that it’s 3 different apartments in one property which was nice, plenty of beds and bathrooms for a big group. Highly recommend!
